A few years ago, I switched to satin pillowcases at the recommendation of a hairdresser. My hair isn't curly so I'm not trying to fight the texture/curl like curly girls do, but I'm pleased with the performance of these pillowcases. Even if you don't try to curl your hair, it's really nice to sleep in and is nice and cool when you lay your head on the pillow. I bought these pillowcases for my wife. She let me use one while she used the other. She loves the feel of her hair. Surprisingly, I love this one too! It's very silky smooth and cools my head. Much softer than I imagined. They fit our pillows perfectly and I love the body flap that keeps my pillow completely within the cover. The satin color really gives these pillowcases a wonderful, luxurious look. I highly recommend!

However, be careful when washing because if you wash something with a zipper, etc., the fabric may get tangled. This type of fabric gives a temporarily cool feel, perfect for summer.
