Purchase the correct mounting bracket.

connector works fine but Curt mount (58291) will not fit this connector - mounting holes do not match. Instead, I found that the Hopkins Universal Mounting Bracket (48625) fitted properly.

Easy to Install -- Very High Price

This wiring harness is fairly easy to install and will replace in 5 minutes an old factory wiring harness that was having corrosion problems. However, I'm not sure if the ease of installation justifies the very high price. Aftermarket belts are probably just as good.

Works perfectly! in External Accessories

This connector works great! Used it on a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty V-10. You can see what the previous owner did to the factory suspension. I don't know why they didn't go that route. Unfortunately, no bracket is supplied, so I had to use the old 7-pin. I had to drill a few holes. No big deal. Overall definitely recommended.

Very easy installation: Tow and winch item

My old 7 pin plug had a 4 pin pigtail from the wires causing a short. According to the advertisement, the installation took literally 8 minutes. If I need the old 4-way connector, I just buy a conversion connector to plug into the 7-way connector. After installation, the test on my 5th bike went great. Comes with 2 new relays and 2 fuses. This item is for my 1999 Ford F-350.

The cheap taste stays for a long time.

Everything newly installed from the car wiring harness to the rear and 7 sockets in the body. Proven features upon completion. The first connection of the trailer and the lack of a left turn signal / brake light. After 2 hours of plucking the head, it turned out that the socket terminals were loose in the plug. After another hour of trying to fix it, I told the tech to take all the strapping off and fold it up with the rest of the junk. No more Hopkins junk in any of my stores.

Economical replacement for Ford Part number yc3z-13a576-ca

I used this to replace a weathered OEM suspension on my 20 year old F-250. The Ford part is being discontinued for $200 if you can find it. It has all the essential Ford wiring harness connectors which are very difficult to find elsewhere. The quality is in no way inferior to OEM. I paired it with a 4 and 7 pin Hopkins 40975 connector which is a more modern layout than the primitive Ford OEM connector yc3z-13a576-ca which I never liked. Everything is plug and play, so no splicing is required.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
