Cool stand! Best in Lighting

That's what I wanted. The spring feels comfortable but is noisy when moving. The only thing I would like better are the rivets on the legs and supports. Pole settings are good. The crappy stand I got with the Mount Dog softbox was supposed to come with one of those stands. For the money they are great.

The bag broke the first time I lifted it.

Stands are fine. I love how heavy they are and it gives me confidence that they can handle my heavier lights. My pocket problem. I took it out of the box and the stitching on the strap tore. Then I took the bag out of the house for the first time and the zipper broke. I can no longer use it. I contacted Revain support who referred me to the company. The company did not respond. upset. I wish I had a better rating but I can't

This is the second purchase of these stands

The only downside I see with these stands is that they can loosen your grip on the bar if you use a heavier weight on the bar. For example larger or heavier lights. I use a couple of clamps to hold them in place once I've decided what height to use. I like these stands for portability. They're pretty strong too. Sure, put the wrong weight on them and they can fall off, but overall I'm happy with these coasters for something I want to hold on to. The height is great and one of the main reasons…

Very good tripods. With a bag!

I've always heard it's good to have a few extra tripods on hand. The tripods I already had were pretty flimsy, so I decided to buy some stronger tripods. Well, that's exactly it. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but just taking them out of your pocket and you can feel the difference. Very good tripods for the money, I think they will work great. I'll probably use these before using other tripods I've had before. And having a nice bag to keep with you is a plus too!

  • Great overall performance

Excellent purchase! Best in Lighting and Studio

I have ordered many different lighting stands in the past but I have always needed more durable ones. When these racks have over $700 coverage depending on your setup, it's hard to trust racks that flex and aren't strong. From the moment I got these racks I knew they were tough as gorillas. I set them up with a Godox 400 Pro, a large beauty record and a 48" softbox. They are as advertised. The reason I left out the stars was because the bottom of the screw loosened before tightening. The legs…

Good bang for your buck. but not very strong

First of all I like these stands. They are better than many I have bought and used and seem to hold up even my heaviest lights with no problem. I love the twsity tension knobs and they are just the right size. But they just don't feel heavy. The legs feel very stiff and loose and while time may prove otherwise, I don't see these stands being worn from shoot to shoot. Ideal for use in the home studio. But I'm not sure I'll trust them for road traffic in the long run. However for the price. I…

Strong as a rock. in camera and photo

These are heavy duty racks. I bought these to use with 550 dual color LED bulbs and ring lights. It's an overstatement for how light the lights are, but perfect for those who need something durable for heavier lights or moving to other locations. The coasters are almost all metal except for the handles used to tighten the stand. I never realized how useful it is to have a spring in extensions because it keeps the lights from falling off when you loosen them. The only thing I don't like about…

Won't be long.

I am keeping these stands as I am in dire need of stands and don't have time for others. But I wish I had just left Manfrotto.1. The illustrations of these 8.5" racks show the bolt and nut construction. You are not. Rivets are used throughout the leg structure.2. Due to the springs and loose construction, they rattle significantly when moved. There is a lot of play at the riveted points. The holes appear to be much larger than the rivets themselves.3. The material used in construction is of…

Upgrading from cheap racks but not heavy duty racks

I had a pair of $120 heavy duty racks stolen and decided to try them temporarily until I paid better get gigs. I mainly use remote video work with large LED panels + softboxes. They make a surprisingly stable impression for the price. It's hard to beat $60. There are some weak aspects that make me worry about the durability. The bag has separate pockets for each tripod, but it looks like it's going to fall apart quickly. I don't care since I'll be using other bags anyway. Below are my test…
