He cuts ties, but I don't need anything else.

They cut ties but I don't have to cut anything else. (e.g. belt lacing or safety wire 0.020). I was very surprised because I've never had a problem with Klein before. I'll try grinding the face. The first one I bought (D409) was semi flush but Revain fixed it very quickly.

Pros
  • side cutters
Cons
  • obsolete

Slightly disappointed in the quality

jaws and cutting surface aligned correctly but the outer surface of the tool is very rough. The tongs I received even have sharp metal burrs in the jaws that appear to be left over from the forging process. I would have expected much better quality from an American made instrument, especially at the prices Klein is charging. The cutting length of the head is quite short compared to other side cutters of this size.

Pros
  • hand tool
Cons
  • so far so good

Just what I need for power tools and hand tools

I'm an operator and I work with safety wire all the time. Removing the safety wire from the mechanism can sometimes be painful. I needed a small, strong and most importantly sharp pair of knives to help with the job. This is exactly what I needed. They are made by Klein so you know they are of a very high quality. The safety wire is not soft and this cutter holds up very well. I would say 90% of the cuts he made were in the first 1/16 inch of the tip of the jaws and I see no (zero) wear. I love

Pros
  • tools and housewares
Cons
