Camping & Hiking Mini Chem Flashlight

Cute little chemical lanterns. They are good for marking things in the dark. Sometimes they are used to illuminate gun sights, but I use them to illuminate dog collars on night walks. I attached a piece of rubber tubing to her collar and stuck a flashlight into the end of the tubing. I can see him about 80 meters away. They last at least 4 hours.

Pros
  • WATERPROOF, NON-FLAMMABLE, NON-TOXIC CHEMICALS means ChemLight glowsticks are as safe as they are durable - you can even let your kids use them when camping or playing in the backyard. Also ideal for tight spaces, underwater and tactical applications.
Cons
  • No instructions

From old stock Woodcrest Ace Hardware

Ordered from Woodcrest Ace Hardware. So if you are buying from another seller, ignore this. I received what appeared to be a genuine Cyalume product, but it has already expired. They are marked as expiring on 03/2017 (in 4 months); Most of my other third-party chemicals expire in 2018 or later.

Pros
  • INTENSE LIGHT OUTPUT FOR UP TO 4 HOURS means you can get work done even when electric light isn't available. The patented, long-lasting formulations of our ChemLight chemical glow sticks provide up to 4 hours of 360 degree illumination. ChemLights is the US military's official chemical lantern - there's no better alternative.

Click and light, Millitary Spec glowsticks.

I've been using these for years, I use these and larger Calum signature headlights for all sorts of things, get creative, activate and trim the greens, rub your body and run like a hulk at night, imagine being exposed to his toxic waste. Use for outdoor recreation, use indoor for emergencies or for fun. A small stick is good for marking the trail at night, large sticks eliminate a large dark area, I find green is best for lighting purposes and for the glow time, I often go off-road with friends

Pros
  • DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS. Whether you're using these chemical glow sticks for tactical purposes, as part of your first or emergency kit, trail markers, map reading, navigation crumbs, or just for your kids to play with, you can rest assured that they'll provide just the amount of light you need.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
