Very strong thread

Thick and strong thread. Used to repair some shin guards and holds up much better than the original stitching.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something to add

High expectations

After the annual seam repair of our boat sundeck upholstery, I did some research on UV resistant yarn. This filament has repeatedly been called the "most important” UV resistant filament. So for the fourth year in a row I'm repairing the seam.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Good for sewing Sunbrella or other outdoor fabrics

I used this to repair patio furniture cushions. Sunbrella fabric. Time will tell, but it's meant to be sun and rain proof. I worked very well both in the tip of the machine and in the coil.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some insects

great for camper tarp

I used this thread to sew my 9x9 camper tent out of heavy duty tarp. Our filament was recommended on the Sailrite website so I wanted to make sure I was using UV and mildew resistant filament. The thread worked really well on my Singer 44s sewing machine, I used a #18 needle and set the stitch length to 4 and it worked great! I ran out of thread when tightening the double bias tape and had to use nylon padding thread. The thread didn't stray and didn't cause me any problems!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires base
