Good wrist protection, heat is normal.

Saved me from breaking my wrist snowboarding a few times. I liked the curved wrist protection in the glove balm and the extra padding on the side of my thumb which definitely saved me from breaking my thumb or wrist. Hit the ice so hard my thumb still kills me. Wore them skiing in Colorado in about 20 degrees, light snow and cold hands. I wish they were warmer. My only complaint.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Appearance

Warm and comfortable, good for exercise and fitness

Gloves fit perfectly. My arm is about 8 inches in waist, medium fits great! The gloves are very warm and comfortable. I'm not sure how good the waterproofing will be, so I'll definitely spray it with tape or something. My only complaint is that the wrist guard doesn't fit snugly enough to really protect your wrists like a regular wrist guard would. I'm sure this will minimize the damage, but not as much as I was hoping.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Much too long! on Accessories

I really wanted to like it. I was in dire need of wrist guards and new gloves so I figured why not combine the two. I followed the size chart I found on the internet and needed a medium for men. And while the gloves fit, they are huge! They reach halfway up my arm and don't even fit snugly under a jacket. I don't think I can wear small because my fingers are quite long. The wrist guards are good but I can't understand how long they are! They look huge to me.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

I broke my wrist for the first time with these

Had to update my review, these things don't work as well as regular wrist guards under gloves. Broke my wrist the first time I used it. If you drive aggressively, ride in the park, etc., don't buy them. Stick to regular wrist guards. You can't wrap gloves tight enough for them to actually work in terms of wrist protection. There have been dozens of hard falls with regular handcuffs and I never had a problem until I tried them. In addition, the fingers get cold at temperatures below 30 degrees.

Pros
  • . Great product
Cons
  • Not bad

Wrist Lifebuoy Accessory

A friend of mine recommended I buy these before snowboarding because they have built in wrist guards. I consider myself quite athletic but am still not sure if it is the wrist guard that is causing my wrists to lack the natural resistance to do their job and keep me upright when exposed to extreme cold and fatigue. Part of the day, or if my wrists are really that weak and bent at awkward angles at this time. More research needed!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Zero

Good gloves protect your wrist but are quite poorly made

Good gloves, they protect your wrist and keep you warm although they get wet fairly easily and the plastic wrist guard is a bit uncomfortable. I'm only giving 2 stars because the description says the plastic can be removed. Well on mine the plastic that protects the back doesn't come off the glove because the hole is too small, I would have to cut the seam to get it out which would twist the glove. I bought them for both skiing and snowboarding and now I can only use them for snowboarding…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Nothing here

These are really good gloves. I am learning to snowboard and have .

These are really good gloves. I'm learning to snowboard and am using these gloves instead of a separate wrist brace and combination of large gloves. They have a plastic gusset on the top and bottom of the glove, and a wrist strap pulls them tight to the wrist. They have material on the palm that holds well and is more durable. I like having a cord to hold them on you when they're off. And the drawstring to close the cuff is good too. For me they are good to about 15F. I would describe them as…
