This does not go with the usual drain at all and.

It doesn't fit a regular sink at all, and somewhere in the product description it says it's 'adjustable' for all sinks, which isn't true. This is for some large industrial sewers.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The front of the box says it's a drain.

The front of the box says the drain is chrome plated brass. The back says it's stainless steel. An email from Danco politely confirmed that it was indeed chrome plated brass. Revain needs to change her name and description.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost never

This drain cap was the perfect solution for my old yellowed PVC cap that was cracking. I was unable to find a replacement clasp of the right size at my local store. The four small tabs on the back snap together and hold it securely in place.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

A little soft but good.

I had to fold back the tabs a bit to fit the drain properly. It wasn't a surprise. But the entire panel is soft enough that it's difficult to bend those tabs without bending the panel itself, so I removed the star. I was able to bend the panel back into a flat shape, but that shouldn't have been necessary in my opinion.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Updates

Looked good but didn't last long

It showed signs of rust after only 2 months. I am a very clean person and I would be able to clean and wash some of them but not all. Now, 4 months later, I'm giving up. No rust will be removed no matter how hard you put your elbow on it. Many of these stocks look the same, but obviously aren't. Spend a little more money and choose a different brand.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great replacement for my broken plastic plug

A while ago a 10 year old plastic shower stall plug broke. I found this on the internet and decided to give it a try. It's not a perfect match, but only because I didn't realize that the indent is square rather than round. But the round one fits and lays flat so it works well. I haven't had it long enough to know if it's rusting or something, but honestly I don't care about the price. This replacement was cheap and better quality (no plastic).

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Fits as a replacement for 4.25 " drain cap

Drain Adapter is great for replacing a plastic adapter that broke after 15 years. It fits my fiberglass pedestal shower. The thin notched portion of the tub is 4.25 inches wide and fits right in there and fills it up. My 5 year old said the new one was better than the old one so that must mean something. You can see my photo for a closeup of the drain hole I used it on. If you have one, $10 is great for a quick, easy, and aesthetic fix.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Fast OK

Good deal and looks good!

I have a 12 year old plastic shower drain cover (was white 12 years ago). It looked a bit yellow and I was struggling with the dimensions to watch for and confused by the term "snap". I took a chance because it was so cheap it wouldn't have mattered much. That works great. 4" 1/4" is the overall diameter on the outside (what you see when you look down the drain). See pictures. By "latch" they mean it has tabs that hold it in place at the bottom. Love the chrome color - It matches my showerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Better than new

My original plastic shower drain has cracked and gotten worse over the years - I avoided stepping on it for fear of losing my leg. Decided to finally look for a replacement and found this handy snap cap which is perfect, strong and easy to install. Make sure you measure and get the correct size for your gutter and that the mesh pattern matches. I had a 4.25 inch Otis plastic drain. I had to widen the 4 holes a bit with a pocket saw but it's not difficult and the metal tabs fit and hold greatโ€ฆ
