A beautiful set that looks weighty and essential. I use it at work (if you can believe it) to maintain my scented candles, mostly around the holidays. Goes great with autumn and Christmas decorations and looks very classy on my desk! Almost everyone who comes to my desk comments on the kit, mostly because they have no idea what the tools are for, haha! Absolutely worth your money!

Works well enough when using regular, no frills (thin) soft fiber candles. As someone said, the trimmer doesn't cut fresh wicks, but once they're a bit burned out, it easily manages them. I don't think the manufacturers meant very thick wicks like wood or other exotic species. It just means I have easy access to my votive holders. I don't need the last tool yet, but it's a piece of metal with a bent end. Aside from the halving, I don't see a problem with that.

I use jar candles for a calming effect after work and on weekends. But I've never learned how to use them properly to get maximum burn time with the least amount of smoke, soot on the neck of the jar, and the best release of wax smell. I read a bit about how to properly burn Yankee Candles on their website and realized that this tool set would be a worthwhile investment. So far this has been confirmed. I have a Wickman kit. My partner always had candles during the holidays, so I wanted to get him a set of his own. I saw this beautiful black set and thought it was very masculine but soon found out the scissors have a much smaller finger hole and the blades are not sharp. The black color made it difficult to cut the wick accurately, which also turns black after firing. The snuff had a small detail that prevented it from moving - it was quite inflexible rather than falling down naturally to blow

I've been using more candles since working remotely due to Covid and started noticing a burning smell when I relit the candles. I realized that I had to start cutting off the burnt ends of the candle wick so it wouldn't smoke or burn when I relight the candles.
