Take the Wickman set instead.
I have a Wickman kit. My partner always had candles during the holidays, so I wanted to get him a set of his own. I saw this beautiful black set and thought it was very masculine but soon found out the scissors have a much smaller finger hole and the blades are not sharp. The black color made it difficult to cut the wick accurately, which also turns black after firing. The snuff had a small detail that prevented it from moving - it was quite inflexible rather than falling down naturally to blow out the candle. I returned them and bought him the same set as mine.
