Just what I wanted in boots after foot surgery

After reading about the overpriced boots being used after foot surgery I decided to buy this item online. It turned out that this is exactly the item used in the doctor's office, and much cheaper. Shipping was a bit slow (over 7 days) but other than that everything was as expected. Highly recommended if your health insurance does not fully cover hospital/doctor costs for this item.

  • handy item

No more pain - orthoses, splints and bandages

I broke 3 bones in my right foot. These shoes take my pain away. It fits snugly, keeping the foot in place with no pressure. It is comfortable to wear. I forget something is wrong with my foot until I look down and see the shoes. I wear size 8 shoes but after reading the reviews I decided to buy a bigger one. It fits very well and there is space between the end of my toes and the end of the shoe. I am very happy with my purchase.

Foot Surgery Shoes

Had surgery on 4 or 5 toes and the doctor put me in a good size, hard, chunky shoe. It was necessary to travel, ordered. Wore it to the doctor's office and it was fine. Did over 1100 miles in about 6 days and it was a lot lighter than in the trunk. You can enter it and find other shoes that match the height of the heel so your back doesn't hurt. It only uses velcro to keep it in place. Simple, convenient and protective. Victory - Victory!

Not quite like the photo, but it does the job.

Wanted to use this product after bursitis and hammer toe surgery. The first product shipped was a drug for men. Women's medicine rearranged. My piece did not have the Darco plate pictured, just the Darco stamp. Bought the same shoes 8 months ago (same size) and they looked better and fit better. The ankle strap was too long on both but I simply trimmed them and added Velcro where needed. I continue to wear old, worn shoes because of the better fit. However, this is a good conclusion and much…

Slippery and dangerous

I received a hospital boot and bought this Darco medical boot as a second supplement. So disappointed! Darco is really skinny and thin. Made in China. Not quite as strong as in the picture. Velcro is not heavy at all. The worst thing is that the sole is made of extremely slippery plastic. This is not effective! I don't want to step into those shoes again! My old hospital boot has real rubber to prevent slipping. I will try to find this hospital brand on the internet. It's called Max Trax. Two…

Helped a lot with a broken toe

I wish it had occurred to me to order one of these shoes a month ago when I broke my little toe. I think I really didn't expect to still be reeling in so much pain a full 4 weeks later! My four-legged companion doesn't get many walks because I can't stand the pressure of my softest regular shoes for more than 30 minutes. I worked at home as much as possible, barefoot, and prayed the damn thing would heal. At least now I can wear this surgical boot on my injured foot and my regular black…

Great Post Op Shoes for Plus Size Women

I saw a previous review that said a 9 1/2 woman foot didn't work well in this shoe her big toe was hanging over the edge . Since I have a broken fourth metatarsal and not a broken thumb, I wouldn't mind if my thumb dangles a bit. Well the product arrived in 2 days, I put it on and it really fits perfectly! There is no excess weight and it is so comfortable. I have pain from the pressure of the straps on my leg, but that's only where I break it. shoe is amazing! The only thing that was a bit…

Excellent shoe, one size up for hammer toe surgery

I ordered this shoe from the same brand as my podiatrist's office for hammer toe surgery. Much cheaper than paying at the office. I take women's shoes 10 1/2 and order large women's shoes. Leaving space behind the toes was not enough to protect the toes with the pins inside. The office kindly exchanged my shoes for men's shoes as they were the same brand. So be generous with the size you order. I needed 2 shoes as I had hammer toe surgery on both feet. It's been 4 days since my surgery and the…
