Extremely good quality and made in America!

Excellent quality product, made in America! This device is made entirely of metal, including the brass fittings (except for the float), and is very well made. Works great with Rubbermaid's 100 gallon livestock tank. I would buy this again.

Pros
  • Has 2 extra holes and a brass hose nut.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Installed with no problems -

I previously ordered a Rubbermaid float valve which leaked immediately. I was able to install DARE without leaking the first time. Also, in this case, water drips into the tank, unlike the Rubbermaid float valve, which drips onto the bottom. The metal is also strong and didn't break with a good hand tightening.

Pros
  • Neoprene rotating seal for long water shut off
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Overview of an old goat farm by a student of Geezer.

Works better than the plastic ones in local stores. Plastic escapes from the hose connection. or cows push them and cut the connection and the water. Assembly required. Comes with optional flow restrictors that you install at the base of the hose fitting. I recommend the smallest as I don't need speed to fill up the tank. Less valve wear

Pros
  • Turns tanks or barrels into automatic waste water.
Cons
  • Without automatic.

Good strong floats BUT ALWAYS USE TEFLON TAPE

This year I had to install a second short tank for young calves and needed a second float. They are great, durable and work well. I've had cows pull swimmers out of tanks and when that happens they can get trampled on and broken. Reduce that possibility by 95% with these metal floats. I suggest you always use teflon tape with the hoses as this can cause corrosion and it will be very difficult to remove the hoses when not in use for the winter. Which you shouldn't do, but of course I do. ;)…

Pros
  • Precision molded outer shell
Cons
  • Not bad but...
