I wouldn't call these hiking socks.

Bought a pair to try on at the recommendation of several hunters. They appear to be really good quality socks and seem to have great support, but hiking socks are not. The pair I received did not have a flat seam in the toe area. Just as I was putting them on to test the fit, I could feel the corner stitching rubbing against my pinky fingers and big toes along the edge. I've had issues in the past with hot spots that disappeared as soon as I put on flat-seam socks. They can be great everyday…

Runs small for Active

I am the most frugal person in the world - after paying over $20 for a pair of socks I had a panic attack with great regret. Boots - I'm a woman so my heel slips and wears my skin down when I wear my worn cheap "$9 3 Pair" socks - I realized I needed an upgrade when I got them, and I was still concerned (because those $20 would have been better if they were magic socks). until I put them on. they are SOOOOO comfortable! They are very thick and durable so if my heel slips they act like a second…

Pros
  • Medium weight with cushion. A warm and very comfortable choice when conditions call for it. These thin knit socks offer medium-density underfoot cushioning. True Seamless technology seamlessly connects seams for an ultra-smooth, invisible finish.
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Rarely does a product work so well.

Darn Tough or someone seems very interested in how they fit so I'll start with that. I bought the X-Large and they feel a bit tight. I have an average size 13 in width, men's feet with a high instep. The interesting thing about these socks is that if the sock feels tight, they're cold because they don't trap air when the sock is stretched or compressed thin, but not these socks. Not at all, I need a lot of power from my fishing socks when wading cold rivers and spending hours wading through…

Pros
  • Composition: 64% merino wool, 33% nylon, 3% lycra and spandex knit. Fast wicking moves moisture away from the skin so the socks no longer sweat or smell. Soft, breathable merino wool dries quickly and is suitable for all weather conditions, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.

  • Protection

$25 for a pair of socks? Of course you're joking!

$25 for a pair of socks? Of course you're joking! It turns out to be a good deal. And don't call me Shirley. Let me interpret. I'm a forest firefighter with one leg in tall leather boots for 16-20 hours a day. I'm a size 10 shoe and the oversized sock fits perfectly. I always wear merino wool, usually 4-packs for $24 or so. But I will say these socks hold up the best, they are bigger and much softer. It's like wrapping your foot in a fucking summer cloud made up of your mom's hugs. I have every

This is my first pair of Darn Tough Boot Socks. I already have two pairs of Crew Socks. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Crew socks work great with my light hiking boots and sneakers. The boot toe is perfect for my 10 inch steel toe work boots. Insulated in all the right places. What makes these socks real winners is the combination of materials from which they are made. I can wear socks with leather work boots. and my feet stay dry all day in 90 degrees and warm in 10 degrees…

They walked easily, but since they found out about the .

I wear shoes/boots that are a size 10.5, which the Darn Tough size chart says should be large. The problem with the big ones is that they were a bit too long and had a too wide toe box in the forefoot and I have a wide forefoot! They went on slightly, but as they stretched a bit over the course of an hour, they started to stick together at the toes, especially on the outside near the smaller toes. I've never had this problem with socks. Most large socks are a size 9.5-12 and have good…
