The best hiking socks!

I'm generally a fan of Darn Tough socks, but these are a whole new level of cool. First, they are very soft in the foot for added compression and support. Second, the inside is lined with fluffy material, making it ideal and super warm for cold weather hikes and other spring/winter/fall outdoor activities. As a blister-prone person, I didn't get any blisters in these socks, even on long hikes, thanks to the inner material. Finally, these are stay-up knee-highs, actually reaching just below my…

Ideal for cold weather.

I bought this for my upcoming trip to Alaska. I tested them last spring on a trip to northern Arizona where it was almost cold. Being from Florida anything under 60 is almost freezing lol! Seriously, I love these socks. At first I doubted they wouldn't fit. They look very small and I have very small feet and very large calves. But they fit like a glove. Wearing them all day my feet didn't get sweaty, overheated and certainly not cold. I wore them with a pair of running shoes and had no problems

Pros
  • Composition: Knit of 72% Merino Wool, 26% Nylon, 2% Lycra and Spandex. Fast wicking moves moisture away from the skin so the socks no longer sweat or smell. Soft, breathable merino wool dries quickly and is suitable for all weather conditions, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.

Comfortable, durable and worth the money!

I work as an Environmental Engineer in the Pacific Northwest and spend most of my time outdoors no matter the weather. On any given day, I can run cross-country with 30-pound gear on my back, set up willow stakes while standing in frigid water, or climb logs and boulders while fording a stream. I put my oldest pair of these socks through the spin cycle and they don't wear out so I bought a few more pairs and they are absolutely worth the price. These are the warmest and most comfortable socks I

Pros
  • Heavyweight Full Padding - High-density cushioning throughout the forefoot for total comfort and performance. The most comfortable and warmest option is Darn Tough. True Seamless technology offers a discreet seam fusion for an ultra-smooth and discreet feel.

Simply 5-star rating

I have been wearing Darn Tough for many years now and although they offer a very genuine lifetime replacement guarantee if the sock breaks or tears I never thought of sending them because I got MORE than mine is worth money. The durability and comfort are as good as you get. And these are no different. Many expedition socks really add bulk to the boot, but they're just as comfortable as all of their warm-weather offerings. I ride a lot in the snow and get cold and haven't felt any thickening or
