Temporary confusion

I was very upset when I put them on and saw that they had sent me two left socks. Until I realized that the "L" inside means "large". Spirit. The toes feel great.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good socks / US Army IAW rules

Excellent socks, hold their shape very well. Gives the feet a feeling of air during exercise. These socks can be worn in military PTs and meet all standards (height is ankle and has no logo).

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Great price

Good quality socks though. - Men's

Yes, they look like quality socks. But as another reviewer mentioned, they basically pick up all the lint and pet hair they come in contact with and are mostly covered in stuff like when you take them out of the dryer, which is pretty unsightly. Plus, the number written on the top of each sock makes you feel like a prisoner or barcoded consumer item. expensive.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Best quality socks Active

I'm gradually replacing all my socks with Darn Tough socks. For me the sock was a little big when I first put it on straight after buying it, but after one wash in the dryer they have been perfect ever since (and have stayed the same on all other washes). That, otherwise it was just my imagination. Anyway, Darn Tough socks are fantastic and if you haven't read about the lifetime guarantee, read about it now and know they really do live up to it.

Pros
  • Durable construction
Cons
  • Frequency

These might be the perfect hiking/running/cycling socks for me.

After many brands that let me down, this is fantastic. I like that they sit just above the ankle because too often I kick my ankle with my other foot or hit the chain with my bike and these socks are high enough to add an extra layer of protection. Speaking of bike chains, solid black helps hide the greasy stains that adorn many of my other lighter bike socks. I wear a size 13 and these socks feel snug. me, but it also keeps them from slipping.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Just wish they were this narrow

These (XL) are great for my height 12ft but uncomfortably narrow. I have another pair of more wintery DT socks that are also very good but have the same problem, particularly over the ankle. I was hoping that the lower height would eliminate the pinching sensation and they're actually nicer in that regard, but they still feel like they're squeezing my toes too much. I still mostly prefer them to cheap cotton socks, but wish they were a large size or something.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Slightly small

Using the Darn Tough sizing chart, I ordered 5 pairs in L (I wear shoe sizes 10 1/2-11). Received them today and they were quite snug, bordering on uncomfortably tight. In particular, they feel tight from the medial sphenoid to the talus of the foot. The sock will hopefully stretch a bit after a few days of use. I bought them on the recommendation of my orthopedist after being diagnosed with Raynaud. I gave it a 3 star rating, deducting 1 star for the uncomfortable seal and 1 star for the…

Worth the investment

DT socks don't come cheap, but with a lifetime guarantee and bulletproof quality, what can you go wrong? I was tired of constantly buying cheap socks that would have holes after a few months. I've tried different DT styles and settled on the Tactical 1/4 Cushion Sock which has become my favorite. I found them narrow if you order by your actual shoe size. I recommend ordering one size larger. The only downside to these socks, especially the black ones, is that they tend to pick up a lot of lint…

Great no-frills socks

If you've never tried Darn Tough socks, this is a great place to start. I love Darn Tough socks and have been wearing them for years. In fact, I'm still wearing the same 7 pairs of hiker socks I bought a few years ago and they were the most comfortable and durable socks I've ever worn for everyday use. less soft than the hiker variant. They're great if you're more into the "sporty" look of socks as they're thick but have a bit of stretch. If you are used to cotton socks then they might be the…
