Description of ๐ŸŒ Premium Deadbolt Flex Pin Banana Plugs - 6 Pairs Gold Plated Plugs for Spring Loaded Speaker Terminals

Flex pin deadbolt banana connectors give you all of the benefits of banana plugs for your legacy style receivers and speakers. Protects your speaker wire: The Flex pin deadbolts protect the ends of your speaker wire from being destroyed by strong spring clip terminals. Provides a strong reliable connection: The gold plated weave and super-strong Solder free connection gives you the highest possible sound quality. Letโ€™s you connect higher gauge wire to skinnier terminals. Many high quality speaker wires are too thick to fit into spring clip terminals. The deadbolt flex pins let you use speaker wire up to 10 AWG in thickness with these smaller terminals.

Wish I had them when I was deep into audiophile mania

I used these connectors to replace speaker wire by going to 14 gauge on the spaghetti thin angel wire that came with my computer home theater speakers. The screw termination design provides excellent contact, undoubtedly as good as soldered. Flexible braided wire pins have a solid cap on the end and are bent just enough to be easily wrapped around the terminal block or threaded through a hole in the block. Note that they fit snugly into many spring-loaded speaker jacks, so it's a good idea toโ€ฆ

A good alternative to plain twisted wires.

I bought these to replace the plain twisted pair speaker wiring for my receiver. I use 14/2 speaker wire which is thicker than regular speaker wire and when it was twisted and inserted into the spring terminals on my receivers they were too thick and some of the copper strands were quite difficult to insert into the terminals and were damaged . not fully seated in receiver spring clips. Sewell flex-pin banana plugs make it easy to connect speaker wire to the receiver, making it easy to make the

Skip them - there could be a short

They're just poorly designed. I bought banana and flex connectors for a home theater system. These are attractive and well-built units, and the banana version gets full marks. However, these flexible pins just don't work for most applications. The conductive parts of the connectors inevitably connect to each other. Both adjacent speakers and opposite polarity connections can be problematic depending on your receiver or speaker setup. I used some available heat shrink tubing to protect them asโ€ฆ

If you are using 12 gauge wire with clips you will need these

Spring loaded clips will fit 14 or 16 gauge wire. The 12 gauge wire is simply pulled out of the terminals because it is too thick and the springs are pushed all the way down to get the wire into the hole so there is less pressure on the wire. That's where these flexible pins come in. Thread 12 gauge wire into these flex pin connectors and push in. Although they are also thick, they are braided and allow the spring clips to better grip and hold the flex pin tabs. So that they don't pullโ€ฆ
