I bought one of these two years ago and absolutely love it. Last week I ordered two more for my child's bedroom and the ones that came are not the same. The original was one piece, the new ones require you to put your hands together with a tiny screw. Unfortunately, on one side the screw holes are miscut and don't match the screws and on the other side nuts are missing to hold the screws in place. This is rubbish, don't waste your money.

I spent about 5 minutes twisting this thing but it didn't fit right. It's very badly built. It's flimsy and I'm not sure if it's a 'best seller', everyone else got mine too late. It wasn't flush and didn't want to screw in or stay out. I promptly returned it and ordered a few bucks more from the pictures to make it a little stronger. This was my second choice. This hook is very strong and durable, it will easily hold multiple jackets, necklaces and other decorations around our home. However, steel is so strong that it is quite difficult to install it on a door. The part you hang on the door is too small for the width of our medium sized door and won't slide all the way without damaging the wood and paint. it had to be clamped and it's a hassle to pull it out again and the door definitely can't close in the process. I ordered this to help with some things you can temporarily get rid of. What is not visible in the picture is that the rods that connect the organizer to the door need to be bolted and not welded to the block. The screws are very small and while they may not turn when tightened, I'm sure they will not hold up with wear and tear and constant use. Very disappointing. It's a great item, if that's not your concern then buy it but otherwise pass it on by putting things together, it's not your thing.

I hung it on the inside of a closet door. At first the door didn't close properly. But then I noticed the top was slanted because my door wasn't as thick as the console. The simple fix was to tighten the door mounts more tightly. Now the top of the brackets will lay flat on top of the door, no problem. Simple design and looks good although I didn't buy it for looks.
