We use 9 of these in a lamp, they give very little light. We like the looks, but it's essentially useless as a light source if that's what you're expecting. Since it's an incandescent bulb, it probably needs to be a little brighter. Also, the glue on one of our lightbulbs came loose, I'm glad it happened before we put it in as it would have shattered all over our glass table underneath. my god they are awesome! I've never seen this type of light bulb before, but I was looking for a replacement for a "stained glass" light bulb that had burned out in the tiny bathroom of my old house (hence the odd arrangement of the bare light fixture). These bulbs are beautiful and a joy to look at when they are on or off! Perfect when you need a decorative bulb but don't need a lot of extra light. Purchased for a lamp in the lobby. I don't need much light; just something for the night. I use two bulbs and that fits the bill perfectly. The light is soft and looks like multicolored spots. The light almost looks a bit pink, but in a good way. Think of the color of a Himalayan salt lamp. I use them in an antique lamp whose lampshades no longer fit.
