He loves her! in my rating

My little guy loves his new boots! They fit great and he's worn them in the boy scouts before! In fact, he wears them to school every day now, I should have bought them a long time ago.

Pros
  • Pretty beefy. The size is accurate. Definitely seems pretty durable
Cons
  • The lace closure broke within a week after a six year old laced his own shoes!

Fantastic and strong

My son is 7 years old and has benefited a lot from it. We've used them for fishing, hiking and in the mud. They are durable and just what I need.

Pros
  • I love these hiking shoes. These hiking shoes were just right for me and they felt good.
Cons
  • Leg pain after carrying it for a long time.

wore holes in their soles for 60 days

When I first received the boots they looked fine and a week later they were fine. I started noticing a break after 40 days of ownership. Mind you, they weren't worn every day! At day 60, holes appeared in the sole of the boot. They only have a 30 day return window. Don't buy them!

Pros
  • So far they seem to be really well made and pretty resilient. They survived a week of scout camp and are still going strong.
Cons
  • Uncomfortable fit

Good inexpensive shoe. - my new rating

A good shoe for its price range, especially since it is waterproof. My daughter picked them and she said that once we got them they felt comfortable on the 4.5 mile hike we did. The only thing I noticed is that they seem a bit heavy. We went through many wet places and streams and her feet stayed dry.

Pros
  • 9 years we have them every day
Cons
  • Doesn't keep feet warm in cold weather

Good hiking books for the price.

I bought these for my son when he went camping and we couldn't find the right shoes. So we dared, measured his feet and bought them. They were good, a little big for my son but since he could walk he still had to wear two pairs of socks to reduce friction. Good work. Can't say how long they will last as he's only used them a couple of times but they looked ok.

Pros
  • Love it. Place the arch supports one size larger in this order. Great for hiking. Do not use in heavy snowfall
Cons
  • Faux leather looks fake

Great price, the best in my rating

Sturdy and beautiful shoes. True size, you don't need extra if you don't want it. I bought boots for my son for hiking and he was comfortable.

Pros
  • It is great. Very convenient. I'm just not sure if they are waterproof.
Cons
  • Untenable

Recommend .... in my review

My daughter loves this. It gives her a lot of confidence to take me and my wife for a walk in the desert to take our dogs. It also has a durable material on the bottom so no stickers or cacti get through as our daughter likes to take risks with dogs.

Pros
  • Bought these for my nephew and he enjoys them.
Cons
  • Low quality materials

Bought these for my son for his upcoming hike in the Appalachia. After a minimal pause from wearing them around town during the day, we hit the road. After 4 days and over 15 miles of rocky trails, creek crossings and fairly strenuous hikes, my son had no blisters or wet feet. He complained about many things, as you would expect from an 11-year-old, but his shoes and feet were not among them. Very happy with the performance of this budget shoe.

Pros
  • Synthetic Sole
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Great for our little traveler!

Our 4 year old loves to go camping with us. We decided he needed real walking shoes after watching him try to climb in his wellies on a family hike. These boots are durable, tightly laced and knotted, and offer plenty of grip. Are they 100% waterproof? Not if he steps into a puddle or snowdrift that swallows the boot. I think that's largely true of most hiking boots. So revealing that I carry a pair of dry socks in my backpack for him. I didn't want to pay for more expensive shoes as he would…

Pros
  • Durable children's hiking shoe. Kids waterproof hiking shoes with tongue gussets keep your little ones feet dry when walking outdoors; Nylon and faux leather on the outside protects your child's feet from the elements
Cons
  • insecure

Nice sturdy hiking shoe that is true to size!

We've just moved to Pennsylvania from California, so the boots were high on our must-have list for colder weather. My son is 7 years old and still can't tie his laces well so I wanted good walking shoes that didn't require tying and were comfortable. First, my son has a wide foot. He's actually most comfortable in Stride Rite's wide-leg pants, but regular wide-leg pants work just as well. I always get nervous before buying shoes because of his wide feet. They gave him plenty of room and his…

Pros
  • Boys hiking shoes with EVA footbed, thick mesh fabric for comfort, waterproof upper and wide lacing for easy and comfortable wear; Boys' hiking boots keep feet aligned and comfortable all day
Cons
  • Not sure
