Clip Nails with Confidence!

I love these nail clippers. I've been terrified to clip my dog's nails (he's a German Shepherd with black nails) up until this point. The guard that keeps you from clipping too much at a time really puts my mind at ease. They feel very well crafted. The grips on the handles make them easy to hold onto. You do still need some hand strength to clip through thick nails, but it's manageable. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that the nail file doesn't stay in the handle very well. It falls out

Pros
  • when purchased was expecting them to be sturdy and they were usable but not more than twice
Cons
  • I thought that they would be sharper. Missing the safety guard.

what came in the package was not what was pictured on the outside!

bought it to clip my dogs nails! He is a big dog! The clippers that came are not the same ones that are pictured on the outside of the package! For instance the nail file was supposed to be in the handle and was not and there is no place in the handle to store it! Supposed to have a guard so you won't clip nails to close! Not there! Buyer beware is all I can say

Pros
  • Not the easiest to get into the right angle. Cuts quickly and cleanly.
Cons
  • It may not be user-friendly for first-time pet owners

Cuts in one squeeze!

My Golden Retriever’s nails are hard and dark-colored, so very difficult to cut. The vet/groomer costs so much, so I decided to try these out. Hated spending so much on clippers, but they are worth even more! They are sharp and cut with one easy squeeze. My hands aren’t super strong but the grip made it easy. The ease of use made the ordeal so much quicker for my dog (and me)! The guard keeps you from cutting too much, too.

Cons

Can't sing enough good praise for big dog

I think I've maybe written a dozen reviews in my life.I have a 175 great Dane.with black nails. and foot trauma from a previously abusive home before I rescued him. I can barely touch his feet, let alone trying to cut his nails . by myself.as a medium sized female.Thought I'd give these a shot. I'm actually able to close them with one hand to make the cut, which is great. Some of the others I've used in the past required both my hands on the black nails. The cut is quick and easy, on both my…

Pros
  • I loved the guard and the little nail file.
Cons
  • The nail clipper may not be durable enough to support repeated use

So glad I purchased

Bought this since our senior GSD cannot go to pet salon anymore. Works great for clipping her nails. No issues. GSD is 113 lbs so worked great for large dog.

Pros
  • Not junk, These are the real thing worth the extra money to get your dog's feet in shape
Cons
  • The nail clipper may not be suitable for large dogs

Worked for my Chihuahua/Terrier Dog 13#

Since we couldn't get into groomer, I thought I'd try to trim my dogs nails like the old days. This very small clipper and nail file worked great. Received very quickly, cuts very well and the nail file was a great bonus. I had purchased a nail grinder but it took forever and my Ziggy wasn't impressed. He's not crazy about this either. but there is no noise and it was much faster. Keep in mind it's a very small clipper and you must be extremely careful not to cut the blood line, but if you are…

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • May not work well on pets with hard or thick nails

The BEST nail clippers I have ever usedfor my large dogs.

I have broken a few pair of nail clippers while doing my Great Danes nails, but this pair is very strong and durable. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who has a dog with thick nails.

Pros
  • Gentle on your pet's nails, ensuring the experience is free of any discomfort or pain
Cons
  • May require additional patience to achieve satisfactory results

In the description it gives the impression that the product will prevent even someone who has never tried to cut a dog's nails from doing it incorrectly (hurting their dog), and I don't think that's true. It IS true that these clippers are easier to use because they are angled. PLEASE don't cut your dog's nails if you don't know what you're doing; you can cause them a great deal of pain if you accidentally cut through the quick of their nail. Take your dog to your groomer and have them show you

Pros
  • REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY - With our angled blade design you will easily see your cuts and never overcut their nails again
Cons
  • May not have the same results as professional trimming services

Sharp and easy to use.

My boxer has tough nails and with the quarantine, has not had her nails trimmed for way too long. I was apprehensive that either she would be frightened or I would cut too deeply and have her hurt. Nothing like that happened. She is a docile dog, but the process was smooth and easy. Even with my limited skills, the guard did the job to keep me from cutting too close. Of course, it will take a series of weeks before the quick recedes enough, but with the guard, I can snip carefully.

Pros
  • Saves you money on costly trips to the groomer or veterinarian for nail clipping
Cons
  • May require additional grooming or maintenance after use

Frightened of nail clipper no more.

Our Yorkie has always been afraid of having her nails clipped. It's difficult as her nails are black and I think because I'm nervous about clipping her nails, she senses that.Because these clippers cut clean and have sharp blades, I can trim a little each week and get her nails trimmed better.

Pros
  • Easy to hold, and squeeze, makes quick work of clipping nails, even thick nails of my St Bernard mix.
Cons
  • They work fine on the little dogs but are trash one the great danes.

After an unhappy experience with a pair of Oster brand nail cilppers I picked up at Wal-Mart, that crushed the first nail I tried to cut with it, I read a ton of reviews. I don't know why it can be so difficult to find a good pair of clippers (and that goes for human nail clippers, too); They are either misaligned, or incredibly dull, or leave the nail jagged.**After reading a bunch if reviews, and seeing that an article in the Chicago Tribune recommended these clippers, I ordered a pair. They…

Pros
  • Highly rated and recommended by satisfied customers, ensuring you're getting a quality product endorsed by others in the pet community
Cons
  • May require additional practice to use the tool effectively

It cuts, but gotta maneuver to open it

Received it today and tried it right away on my Great Dane’s nails. After the 5th nail the nail clipper stopped opening on it’s own. Got to force it to open in order to continue working on clipping more nails. At least it hold to clip all nails even tho I needed to take breaks to rest my hands.

Pros
  • Quick, easy, less stress on dog, no bleedingHighly recommend
Cons
  • Easy to hold.Didn’t like that it splinters the nails and leaves them scratchy.

Dog nail clippers on my review.

I've never clipped a dogs nails before and these were very easy to use. Came with easy to understand instructions and has good grip to them

Pros
  • June 18, 2015
Cons
  • May cause stress, anxiety, or fear in some pets during the trimming process

My daughter's Dobie grows nails faster than my lawn grows dandelions. Year round, too. Thick, black, hard-as-nails nails. Impossible to see the quick. We about went broke paying the groomer $20-25/week to clip and dremel them for us. They got a little (?!) out of control. Long. Yeah, long-long. Shame on us, but there it is.I ordered a few pair of different trimmers. Not strong enough, or scared the Dobie, or shredded the nail or. Then I saw these. I thought, why not? He's going to go lame if we

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact, making it easy to handle and store
Cons
  • May require additional assistance or supervision during the trimming process

Great Pet Nail Clippers ***Honest review***

We just got a boxer puppy and needed to clip his nails (claws) fast. The product arrived quick like always. I've used other clippers before and noticed the difference with these clippers. Very easy to handle and it has the guard to make sure you don't cut anything else or too far on the nail. My puppy doesn't have adult nails so the guard did not help, but I know it will once the puppy is an adult. Please do the research and make sure you know what you are doing when cutting your furry friends'

Pros
  • I got these for my German shepherd and they work great. Made the job fast and easy.
Cons
  • The nail clipper may be too heavy for some pet owners to handle

Not Sharp at all in my review

I like the looks. But they are not for Sharp as my old clippers. Don't waste your money if you have a medium or large dog. That's my review.

Pros
  • MUST BE AWESOME - 1000 people can't be wrong, the quality of the clippers will be evident as soon as you pick up the clippers.
Cons
  • May not be accessible to pet owners with limited finances

Quality Clippers - my new review

I can’t speak to the longevity, but these clippers work very well right out of the box. They are light, easy to hold and sharp.

Pros
  • Comes with a built-in safety guard to prevent overcutting and causing your pet discomfort
Cons
  • May not be suitable for pets with behavioral issues

Work really well in my review

I have 2 Great Danes and have tried many nail clippers but most wouldn’t even cut through their thick nails, or would just break after not much use. These cut through their nails so easy, and have lasted longer than any I’ve tried in the past.

Pros
  • They work OK.
Cons
  • Could not cut my dog nails.

Quiet, sturdy, sharp, and a great time saver.

Finding a good pair of nail clippers is a harder task than I thought it'd be. I read many reviews, called around to local shops, and then found these. These clippers work really well on our Boston Terrier & two cats. They're very sturdy/well-constructed, they don't wobble, and they're quiet. They're weighted-well; they kind of have the feeling of a good pair of gardening tools or something that has a certain amount of heft to them that just makes them feel substantial enough to do the job, but…

Pros
  • Affordable price point compared to other professional pet grooming tools
Cons
  • May be too loud or noisy for some pets

A tool worth it's weight in gold, or dog treats

Wow - these are the best. sharp, lightweight, easy to use, impossible to mess up. We adopted a "used" dog who spent her first four years in shelters, foster homes, and various rescue situations. I had NO idea how she would react to toenail cutting, but I was hoping for the best and knew I had better start with some sharp, heavy-duty nail clippers. Did I mention our "new-to-us" dog is 70+ pounds of pure muscle? She also has all black toenails. She and I were both nervous about the

Pros
  • Supports the pet's health by preventing the nails from getting too long, which can cause discomfort and health problems
Cons
  • May not be comfortable for pets with arthritis or joint pain
