I am one to make my poor fur babies bleed when I trim their nails. So this clipper was a GREAT purchase with the safety guard on the back side to ensure i do not cut off too much at a time. It is of very good quality and I use it often on my 4 dogs (2 beagles, 2 boxer/pit mix). They show no sign of wearing down and I am completely satisfied and will be purchasing the same again for my son to use on his dogs as well. I have tried plenty of expensive clippers from petsmart, petco, etc to just…

Pros
  • These clippers are so sharp that they cut through my dog's nails like a hot knife through butter.
Cons
  • May require prior knowledge of pet nail clipping

NOT for Large Dogs, product NOT as described

VERY DISAPPOINTED in these pet nail clippers. If we could give less than 1/2 a star, we would! The product description says "for Large or Medium Dogs." But these clippers are sized appropriately for a toy breed, definitely NOT for a large breed like our 100lb Labrador Retriever's nails. To get the clipper blades around one of his nails, we had to force the blades open as wide as they can go.The product description also says "Designed and stress tested for thousands of smooth, quick, and sharp…

Pros
  • Suitable for cats and small/medium dogs, making it a versatile tool for pet owners
Cons
  • May require additional cleaning after use

Good Solid Clippers

I use these on my Great Dane and they really work well. He has those huge paws and big thick nails but they cut through them quickly and cleanly. Very ergonomic. If I had a complaint it would be regarding the file that comes with it, but it is something I really wouldn't use anyway. Its too small and very flimsy for a big dog, but since I wouldn't use it anyways it's not a big deal. Very comfortable and fits well in the hand.

Pros
  • Durable construction guarantees long-lasting use without fear of wear-and-tear
Cons
  • May not have the same precision as professional trimming services

As a professional groomer, a reliable nail trimmer is very important. So far, I really like the trimmer from Go Pet. It is sharp and it is actually angled a bit which makes it easier to get close to the nail. I like this feature and have not seen it on other trimmers. To me, the function of the spring is most important. It needs to push the trimmer open right away after making a cut. This is where other trimmers failed miserably as they don't hold up. So far I like the easy opening provided by…

Perfect for my dog good for me

I placed my order on Friday and received it by USPS on Sunday! Initially my year-old yellow Lab was quite hesitant about allowing her mom near her nails with this gadget. I allowed her to sniff the nail clipper with the safety stop on; she licked it and examined it carefully, getting acclimated to it before extending one paw for her manicure. The cut was quick and clean, since the blade was very sharp and I had a clear view of her nail (and the quick, since her nails are translucent). I had no…

Pros
  • Grooming
Cons
  • May require pets to be sedated or restrained for the trimming process

All Around Excellent Clippers!

My dog absolutely despises having his nails done. He is very passionate in his hatred of all things nail care. He actually lets me cut his nails with these clippers. My dog also has very thick, hard nails. These clippers cut right through his thick nails with very clean cuts every time. His nails have never been so smooth immediately after a cut as they are with these clippers. The quick guard is great as well. It makes it teally easy not to hit the quick even when you can’t see it through dark…

Pros
  • Sharp blades ensure precise cuts, minimizing the risk of injuring your pet's nails
Cons
  • May require additional preparation before use

This is probably my most favorite item I've purchased on Revain in the past 6 months. I hate to pay $5-$10 to get our dog's nails cut at the vet each time. It's something that I think we should be able to do quite easily. The safety slide on it prevents me from cutting off the tip of my finger as well as keeps the clippers in a locked position. The hand grips seem ergonomic to me. The soft rubber allows me to get a good hold on the handles. I have used them on 5 of our (both daughters and ours)

Pros
  • SAFE AND EASY TO USE ERGONOMICS - Greatly reduce the risk of injury to your pets with the angled blade design to easily see where you are cutting. Easy to lock blades allows for safe and convenient storage. Large non-slip coated handles are comfortable to grip and provide great leverage for fast effortless cuts.
Cons
  • May not work well on pets with sensitive paws

Comfortable clippers

These things look and feel like they will last forever. They feel good in hand which I think makes cutting nails easier. The safety stop for the nails is better than a similar nail clipper I had before. The old set of nail clippers, the safety stop was too far away from the blade so sometimes I would still cut into the quick. This one, the stop is flush against the blades so it prevents over cutting better, you might have to cut the same nail twice to get it shorter, but I prefer that over…

Pros
  • Helps to promote bonding between pets and their owners by providing a stress-free, hands-on experience
Cons
  • May require additional training for pets to get used to the tool

Better than the dremel tool

On our previous dogs we have been able to use a dremel tool without incidence or fear from the dogs. However our new pup is a rescue, very skiddish and freaks out at the noise. This is easy and quick. I pet her and help hold her paws as my husband clips her nails. We will have to do it again since we did not clip as far as we needed to. How ever it was much better than the maddening and frightful experience of trying to use the dremel tool.I definitely recommend for more fearful animals. The…

Pros
  • Suitable for both right and left-handed users, providing greater convenience
Cons
  • May require additional storage space

Large clipper for large puppy

This is my second GoPets nail clipper, I had an issue with my puppy not wanting his nails trimmed and had my Veternarians office try my clippers with my puppy. After I'd decided maybe I just needed another newer sharper one, I usually trim the nails after a bath when the nails are softer, this Was a good choice getting the new ones.

Pros
  • Stainless steel blades ensure high-quality cutting performance time and time again
Cons
  • May be too expensive for some pet owners
