**Wrong Ad - Received Huge Old Dell Charger w/ Top Adapter**

No idea why this happened, obviously at odds with other sellers/reviewers. I received 3 items: 1. Previous generation charger with 7.4mm tip (new part arrived)2. separate US power cord3. Tip adapter for 7.4mm x 4.5mm. Prior message from seller if everything is ok. Basically it is not what is shown or described. A refund has been requested, I will update the review if there is anything notable to add.

Good Dell XPS Laptop Charger

Works very well, looks identical to the OEM part that came with my laptop, the only difference is that it doesn't have the Dell logo. I was skeptical and checked the voltages on both the factory part and this one, they were almost the same, within 1/10th of a volt! It charges my Dell XPS 15 laptop just like the one in the box and is easier to use as it has a longer cable.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Refurbished junk - defective and difficult to return

The unit I received was defective and the power keeps going on and off. Assume it's refurbished junk based on my experience. You get what you pay for. It might be better to spend another $20-$30 to get one direct from Dell, or buy a Square Trade warranty.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Annoys

SECOND HAND! Scratched and scratched. Seems to work for XPS 15 9560

I've plugged it in for about 20 minutes and so far it's working fine. I'll update my post if it's out in the near future. At the moment it is connected to my Dell XPS 15 9560. Functionally everything is fine. However, this is not the same charger that I received with my XPS 15. They are the same shape, but the one that came with my computer has a shiny, possibly metallic, exterior. It's the matte/textured black plastic I've come to expect from most laptops. In addition, it was damaged. The…

Died after 9 months

Worked well until it broke. I bought it on 08/26/2017 and it died on 05/10/2018. So 9 months. I bought this as a second cable to use elsewhere in my house. The original cable that came with the computer still works and I've had it for years. Anyway, not a very good cable replacement - especially for $60.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Direct replacement for Precision 5520 strange connector cable.

The power adapter and barrel connector/cable are identical to those that came with my Precision 5520, but the cable that plugs into an outlet seems cheaper than the standard cable. The plugs are more square and the insulation appears to be PVC rather than silicone, so it's stiffer and not as comfortable to the touch.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons

Great price for an OEM adapter. Not sure why the wall cable isn't OEM.

Genuine Dell PSU. It just works. The only downside I would say is that the cable from the adapter to the wall was definitely not Dell's OEM cable for this brick. .This device is supplied by Dell with a rounded cable. the one I bought here came with a two wire cable of the same connector type. Works well but not OEM.

Pros
  • As far as satisfied
Cons
  • Unfashionable
