Purchased 11 February 2020 Worked fine until 3 days ago. Stop charging the battery. This is not a battery as it is new, I bought two items together. I'm not sure if I can return it. I expect at least a year, not just three months.

Not an official Dell charger. I spent too much time charging the battery, even bought a new battery and tried all the troubleshooting strategies posted. As soon as I plugged in an old charger I accidentally stumbled across, the battery started charging right away! They just hate dishonest sellers.

They sent me a new laptop from work and I want to run it in parallel for a while before I send the old computer back. We need to use the old computer power cord on the new computer. I wanted to make sure I had the power cord for both the old computer and the new computer for a true parallel test. I plugged it in and it worked great on both the old and new Dell.

I have a Dell E5440 that I only use for work. The original charger stopped working and I didn't realize it was a 90w charger. I ordered this charger because I managed to get 1 day delivery. I connected the charger to the laptop and it showed me to use the 90w charger but that allowed me to use this Dell charger. I'm glad the charger works well and I didn't have any problems with it.

This appears to be a genuine Dell OM charger and costs less money and hassle than contacting Dell directly. And that's good! I'm paranoid that random other brand chargers will overheat, set my pants on fire and make people think I'm dishonest. I just hope the one I bought isn't cursed. I can't handle it right now because my dog is chewing on power supply cords and all. So far this has not happened. 5⭐

I use two different Dell laptops, one from my employer and one private. You need different cables for chargers. But that's the beauty of it: this charger works with both laptops as it's designed to work with different DEll models. How serious this is great. Charger needs to be replaced. Found and bought on amazon. It SEEMS like it's from Dell but I'm not sure because a day or two after I plugged it into my computer my hard drive melted badly and ended up having to be replaced.
