Great monitor apart from the hum

The monitor is excellent. I find the USB-C hub very useful. The picture quality is fantastic. However, this monitor has a serious disadvantage. When the monitor goes into standby mode, an audible electronic sound comes from the top vent. The noise is very audible in a quiet room more than 10 from the monitor. Dell sent me several replacement units and they all had the same issue. I excluded all variables to make sure the problems weren't caused by my setup. The only workaround I've found for…

"Dell Store " is NOT Dell, Inc. - It sells used/refurbished Dell products.

I bought a Dell U3821DW from a Dell store. Came in unbranded packaging. The packaging was actually very impressive and showed no external signs of damage, but there was a noticeable cosmetic dent on the VESA monitor mount stand that was not the result of shipping. USB KVM issues with USB-C wakeup

Great monitor apart from an ongoing known issue when switching from one monitor to another. The USB switch does not wake up a laptop connected to the USB-C port. This is reportedly fixed in the latest firmware. However, several users are reporting this issue, including me. On older 38" monitors this worked fine. Received a broken monitor. I sent the monitor back. From what I've seen, the build quality of the monitor is very good and has a solid foundation.

Good display but compatibility issues with USB-C connection on HP laptops.

There were compatibility issues with an HP laptop. I also have an LG monitor of the same size that didn't have any compatibility issues and the build quality was better than Dell's.
