Description of Enhance Engine Performance with Delphi GN10048 Ignition Coil

Delphi uses winding process techniques to control the length of wire between adjacent windings. That’s important because more length results in greater voltage differences, which in turn create more pressure that could break down the insulation and wire coating. Delphi's ignition coils are engineered to Original Equipment specifications. Delphi's ignition coils are designed with proven materials, such as high quality wires and wire coating that resists the cracks, pin holes and imperfections that most often lead to failure issues. Epoxy vacuum techniques reduce air bubbles in the epoxy, because having fewer air bubbles increases the epoxy's insulation quality and reduces the chances of energy punch-through failures. Delphi's coils are designed and endurance tested to resist the common stresses that cause failure. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Quality replacement parts

We have 2 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT's that my son and I are restoring. Got it, she bought the BWD part from Autozone and I bought this one from Revain. This one was a lot heavier and even the plastic seemed to be of better quality. Kicker, I paid less! Works great and Delphi is always a top notch piece.

An OEM performance part for your GM for the price of a cheap nameless generic. - Very important!

Great OEM part for your GM engines. It doesn't get any better than using OEM FACTORY parts when upgrading your GM engine. An easy to install part that gives your ignition system a stronger, hotter spark for improved performance and fuel economy. Very low price and great performance!

Good Price Check This Part #

This coil was ordered to be compatible with 1994 z28. Part number matches online inventory and 2 other searches. So I installed it with a new ignition control module and it works great. At the time of writing this review Amazon has listed this item as incompatible so after reconfirming this part # I am pleased I have the correct part

It made my 89 Suburban run like new.

If you have an old 454 like mine you will need to replace the entire ignition system, spark plugs, wire, coil etc. This last part gave my truck some extra spark power and really had great value in strength. It seems to have brought back a lot of lost horsepower. Got my good idle back too. The bracket was not included, but it was enough to remove the old bracket and attach it to it. Take it.

Otherwise great role. I chased when it wouldn't start.

only gave it four stars because I had to file and knock out the rivets holding the bracket that didn't fit my truck. Otherwise great role. I've been tracking the issue of not starting when hot problem occurs in a 90ft Silverado 350 TBI. Revain is way cheaper than what parts dealers want and they would still have to order it. Many thanks to Revain for a quality reel at a good price!

Exact OEM replacement

Exact OEM replacement. Reused my original mount, plugged in and ran. The old spool didn't die, but missed at idle. After checking everything, ignition module, coil sensor, MAP sensor, EGR valve, TPS. I installed all new vacuum hoses, new IAC, dist cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires. I was beginning to think the coil might be faulty even after testing it with an ohmmeter to specs. The new Delphi coil seems to have solved my idle problem.
