🔈 Delphi SA10001 XM SKYFi Portable Boombox (No Longer in Production) Review

Bought for the office, excellent. I'm addicted to XM so it's nice to have in the car and in the office. And of course I can take the Boombox with me everywhere. And the price keeps falling. Definitely a great accessory.

I usually give reviews a lot of credit, but I've discredited people who have complained about the background noise of this unit. Boy was I wrong. This is really very annoying. I have this combination of chirping and constant hissing that I can't explain. But that's a big annoyance. (.)

The boombox is beautiful, light and easy to move. We got an antenna error and found (after much frustration and without any help from Delphi or other vendors) that you must have batteries in the device even if you are using a mains plug. This fixed our antenna error. But once that problem was solved, we fell in love with the device!

An XM radio is a must in our landscape. If you don't like country western music, you just don't have much choice. My husband carries his ghetto blasters everywhere and rocks them all day long. This device has stood up to the rigors of his job sites, and he's been able to use it for about a year despite the dust, moisture, and bumps from the rest of his tools. Worth every penny.

I already had a Delphi SA1001 XM SKYFI boombox for home use. I missed the music on the street, I had Direct TV and an outside speaker for it. I cut costs and got rid of my direct TV. and thought how great it would be to have an extra boombox outside so I don't have to move it around my house all the time. I bought a used one, it works great and I'm enjoying my XM again. Many thanks to Revain for the great help in finding a Delphi SA1001 boombox at a great price.

I can't live and work without an XM radio! It's hard to find Sirius XM players that can be used at home, that don't use a smartphone (I don't know how that works!), and also one that fits my SkyFi receiver. I had two of the same devices where the volume control broke. I was very happy to find it at Revain because it's the same as before, fits my space, matches my SkyFi receiver and is reasonably priced. The device works well with the Delphi XM receiver, but the sound quality is not good. Sounds like a cheap radio because it is. Speakers are cheap. The case is cheaply made and my device did not work on batteries as promised. The design is great but the sound quality is very poor. If you are considering buying because you ALREADY have a Delphi XM radio then it is a good investment. But you can wait and see what awaits us in the future because the guys from XM Radio will surely provide us with…
