The tip broke off when screwing in. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure brass doesn't look like this when it breaks. It looks like resin or something.

I was so glad I found this. We placed a built-in closet by our front door, and the door leaned against the closet with a standard-length bumper. This keeps the door perfectly 1/4" from the closet, and both my door and closet are happier!

I needed a 4 inch door bumper so my bathroom door wouldn't hit the wastebasket in the corner behind the door. It was perfect. Easy to install, just a small pilot hole to guide the screw. Beautiful bronze finish plus a soft, quiet rubber bumper that won't mark the door.

They have a really nice patina/color like aged bronze. The dark gray tips are a nice complementary color that does not draw attention to the product when installed. I bought three and they all fit well. The perfect length is 4 inches to keep my antique glass doorknobs from banging against the wall.

I had and the rubber bumper disappeared. My guess is that the robot vacuum picked it up and I didn't realize I emptied it. I reordered to replace the bumper and this time glued it on with super glue. It comes with two bumpers, one white and one dark. Make sure you put the perk somewhere you can find it. LAUGH OUT LOUD
