I bought this for my kids bunk bed. The first rung on the stairs is a bit high so I bought it to help them up and down the stairs safely. That works great. It would be better if it stood in place and stayed open. Folds up a little easily.

We have a couple of these folding stools but I needed a bigger one so my child can reach big things. It has a very solid construction (like most plastic folding stools I've seen) but what I liked about it compared to most folding stools I see in stock right now is that it has a heavy rubber cushion at the top with has strong impacts. / Acne. It also has cut-outs on the sides that can be used as a climbing aid. Works well, very stable.

Aesthetic, size and overall performance are excellent. Unfortunately, the plastic connections around the edges often fail, resulting in reduced stability and, fortunately, injury. After a few weeks of use we've lost confidence and checking that everything is in place every time we open it isn't so reassuring. If everything is there, then 200 pounds.
