I bought this jug to store water because copper is said to be good for the body. An hour after I filled this pitcher with water, large black spots appeared inside, as if a layer of paint had come off.

The jug is very impressive and beautiful, but two days later gray spots appeared on the neck and a week later very unusual dark spots inside the jug. I know a lot about copper stains. Only the neck is very narrow, so the hand can reach through and rub, the brush does not do well.

The item is considered sold. I use it to store water overnight and drink it the next day. However, it can be a great addition to a dinnerware set. Elegant and attractive. I recommend it. I would give an extra star if there was a lid as elegant as the jug.

The seller replied that copper is natural and you can drink water without fear. I clean the patina with lemon juice and salt using a silicon sponge. Silicone sponge cleans copper very easily.

I have just received this engraved copper jug and I love it. It's heavy, strong, made of solid copper, looks like a brass handle heavily riveted at the top and welded on at the bottom.
