Derale 13009 Silver Oil Temperature Gauge Kit Review

Worked very well. It's nice to know what my hilltop doing with my 2000 Ford Excursion in tow of an RV with trance. Works well.

Works as advertised. Easy installation (with little mechanical experience). My biggest complaint is that Derale doesn't sell replacement sensors, so if it fails (or in my case breaks on an adventure) you're forced to buy a new set.

Bulkhead fitting broke when subjected to the weight of a wrench. Didn't even remotely use force. Now my truck is stuck on a hoist in the garage with a 1/2 inch hole drilled in the pan waiting to be replaced.

Added this to my F350 truck and it works fine. It's nice to know that my transmission oil temperature is within acceptable limits. I know that going uphill with a heavy trailer the temperature gets over 200 degrees and I can stop to cool down if necessary.

The temporary attachment broke, barely tightened on the pallet. I bought a local one in an eTrailer to replace and broke it again. The instructions say "tighten tightly", I can't say I'm tightening that tight. I ordered 2 more. How about a torque specification instead of "tighten" Derale? This is the part for the area prone to leaks. A 1 hour project turned into 2 days.
