🧥 Optimized Derby Originals Dog Coat Review

These waterproof jackets are very well made but I would like a size between 13.5 and 15.5. I got the smaller one for our 34 lb dog and it fits a little in the loosest setting. Size 15.5 for our 38 lb dog is a little big adjusted to the smallest size which is still a little big. They are usable and otherwise we are happy with them.

Received two of these coats to put on my sheep after they were sheared. The wool is of excellent quality but doesn't stick to sheep (they have big bellies and narrow breasts - unlike dogs who usually have a small waist but large breasts). Since they aren't for sheep, I'm not deducting any stars! I remade them for my dogs and they work great. Good quality material.

Bought a large size for my skinny basset hound. The length was perfect; and the coat was loose at the neck at the narrowest neckline, but as I said, the dog is thin for a basset hound. The fit around the chest was good and tended to be baggy. The coat came out great after the first wash and I don't hesitate to wash it when needed. I am very happy with the purchase (the dog too!).

My dog Lucy says she loves this coat. It's very warm and fits great. Exactly as the information on this coat says, it has shoulder gussets for flexibility and the waist belt is stretchy material to allow the dog to lie down comfortably. Lucy is 45 pounds so the tall one looks great on her. By the way, thanks to the flexible hip belt, you can attach it securely so that the dog does not crawl out from under the coat.

This coat is perfect for our dog. We love it! We have a Great Dane and it was a challenge finding a coat that was not only big enough for him but also warm and durable. We often take our Dane on hikes and a very warm coat was a must. When camping, this coat kept him warm on cold nights and protected him from annoying insects during the day. I highly recommend this coat especially if you have a giant short haired breed.

I bought the XL for my 10 month old Great Dane puppy. It suits him perfectly; it's made for him! My only issues are: the placement of the waist strap too close to his sausage (making him reluctant to strum while wearing it); it's definitely not warm enough for how cold it can get here (in Maine) in the fall and winter months. Well, my golden retriever wasn't as tall as I was hoping, so I bought him a smaller purple coat size. I think he's freaking gorgeous in his purple coat. It even goes well with a gold coat. I also bought a larger one for my much larger GoldenDoodle and it works great. It had rained heavily just last night so I dressed the puppies and when I came back from a walk all I had to do was towel dry my head, hind legs and paws. However, I was wet! I think I need a purple cloak!

Wow! This derby company makes horse blankets so it's very well made! Love the fact that it does NOT pinch their legs like other dog coats do. She has a full range of motion in her legs. This slips over her head while I fasten the front, then a velcro strap for her stomach. Walked in the rain yesterday and she didn't mind. Rain is great! except neck and head. We don't use it in the cold. Even when the outside temperature is 35 degrees, she is happier with walks. This 600d is a heavy coat/blanket

My 16 year old goat was shaking. I have a horse blanket so I started looking for one for Daisy. This blanket is easy to put on which is good for a goat who doesn't really want to wear a blanket. She seems to be very durable - she can move. in it and do their favorite sleeping goat poses in it. I underestimated its fullness, but that was my fault, not the ceiling.
