Dangerous product - beware! Should have read the reviews more carefully. I purchased this product not knowing that it contains sodium hydroxide which is listed on the ingredients list. Sodium hydroxide is the alkali that burned my face and neck when I applied my moisturizer. My skin is bright red and burned, which makes me blotchy, but lye's carcinogenic properties are of more concern. I will never buy a Desert Essence product again. He doesn't deserve any stars.

I love this thing! I won't go into all the details, but other than what the packaging/description says, I like that it's silicone-free. It's not that silicone is bad for my skin, but in a moisturizer it doesn't do much more than provide less lubricity than use more oils and fatty acids, which alone provide lubricity.
