Not worth the money

As a result of using this product, I found that it did not properly insulate the exhaust and emitted a smell once heated. That's my review.

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Ineffective insulation.

Overkill thermal protection - looks great!

I used this to wrap a new alternator wire for my 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. Do I need thermal protection up to 800°F? No, it's a little too much. Does it look great in GOLD? Absolutely. Fits easily with my 1/0 AWG wire. (Wouldn't do less than 3/4 for this caliber) - Had to use 2 of these because the barrel was very long on the LS6 motor. (Generator below.) - Slightly more expensive than silver but I think it's worth it, not just for the looks but because your cable gets extra protection.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Take a larger size if you need to wrap 1/2 inch

OK 2 inch tube. A 1/2" piece of this material can only slide on a 2" pipe of the same outside diameter. It's too tight and forces you to use 3/4" and it will look sloppy. Diameter 1mm larger. Another gripe I have with this great world of technology why is this thing sewn the way it is has a 1/2" flap all the way down? This is is gross. While this can be covered by applying a matching DEI gold tape, the tape will not stick to it. I will spray the tape with 3M Super 90 spray adhesive (250 deg…

  • Thermal Foil, Frosting and Wrapping
