This is a really good clip. Very durable and flexible. Supplied with ball head. The clamp adjustment is very convenient and I was able to mount it anywhere on my desk no matter how thick the desk is. Very happy with this purchase.

Contrary to the photos and description, you won't believe it, the ball head that comes with this product is NOT strong enough to take a full frame DLSR keep. Even with a lightweight 50mm lens it started to fall off, let alone heavier zoom lenses. However, the base itself is quite strong. So if you have a ball head with 1/4" thread, you can mount it on the base.

People who say this is poor quality are crazy. I've been looking for a camera mount for a long time. With this product everything is right between appearance, durability and feel. I will get two more to mount my Elgato Keylight Airs on. The ball mount itself is strong. Just remember to attach the liner to whatever you are mounting. Please ignore the cable management. I'm still cleaning up.

There are many variations of these clamp stands for your desk. I believe this one offers the best value for a number of reasons. First, the clamp is easily adjustable. I have a table that has beveled edges all around and the clamp is deep enough to bypass the bevel and still provide a solid table clamp. It comes with a rotating ball for the top so my camera can be positioned exactly where I want it. Finally, it is lightweight yet very durable. I'm looking for another kit to install my LCD light

I wanted to mount the hardware on a 4 1/2 inch thick surface and this was the only product that was suitable for a thick surface. Thick, but the product is not thought out. There is no pad on the drive that touches the underside of the mounting surface. Without rework, a mere screw will tear your table apart. The same goes for the bracket adjustment screws. If you screw it all the way in to tighten and support the assembly, you won't be able to push the bracket all the way toward the mounting…
