Does the job! - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

It was easy to install and I like the rear bar which helps with cable management and relieves stress on the connector. Communication is excellent. The rack installation took about 5 minutes. It took me about half an hour or 45 minutes to connect all my cables. Boom! It just works.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Pass-Through Patch Panel AMAZING

This is an excellent patch panel for the money. My personal home networking stand has gone from good to great. I've seen a lot of criticism about sharp edges, but haven't found such a problem. It's a well-made product with thick steel and easy to install. This pass-through patch panel has the professional look I was looking for. Check out the pictures for yourself.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Buy with confidence.

I used this product to terminate a Cat5e cable that I had already crimped and connected directly to an older Cisco Gige switch. I wanted to spice up the look of my closet so I bought a small 19" rack and this product because I liked the fact that I could easily slide pre-crimped cables and plug them into the keystone jacks on this patch panel. Everything worked smoothly. I'm using 20 of the 24 ports, but so far all are working without problems.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Very good plate throughput

Well made patch panel. I'm upgrading my network to Cat 7 and this panel was key. It makes my job easier because I'm using Cat 7 patch cords instead of old cables, which makes life so much easier without having to stop it all. This plate is heavy gauge steel with a ground wire and the connection points are standard interchangeable keystone pass-through connectors. I replaced a couple of fiber optic connectors, but that's another review. Very good quality and workmanship.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Good for your home lab

If you have a home lab and a rack, this affordable patch panel looks great. I'm not aware of using this in a data center - I would assume it's fine, but I can't consider it as such as I'm not a network engineer. The build quality is good. I didn't feel any sharp edges to cut the cables or my hand. Some of the things I bought for my rack were cheaper metal and stamped - quality can be questionable. I was pleased with the build quality of this device. I use 15 ports. There is no slack and allโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

I am 70% satisfied with the patch panel. Pros: โ€ข Bought because I was tired of running 48 ethernet cables to and around rack posts and just wanted something to run from the back up or down and leave custom cables in the rack, sort of a quick connect, If you want. Faceplate has a black powder coat finish and is well rolled with no sharp edges โ€ข Mounting hardware/screws etc included โ€ข Keystone RJ-45 connectors feel solid, fit well and don't move. โ˜ผ The construction appears to be very solid, butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Wrinkled
