For domestic purposes, it is better to take something not so powerful. Somewhere at 40 Nm, a maximum of 60, 70 is still a bit too much . I will add that after a month of operation, the ratchet apparently developed and began to work normally, as expected - even on small self-tapping screws. I also hurried a little, I was looking for the same one on a 5A battery, I did not find it. It turned out that such a complete set of this model is also the most expensive for 3K, while the accs themselves,

Pros
  • Light, strong, short. Well done chuck brake! The main thing is not to spin the bat as before - holding your hand on the go - burn your palm - a trifling matter!
Cons
  • Too powerful. Tears self-tapping screws, if they withstand - tears bits. That is, it is necessary to work only with branded strong bits and it is not for short self-tapping screws - somewhere from 70 mm to 150 I think. The ratchet does not have fine tuning - at 4 the self-tapping screw is not screwed up to the end, at 5 it breaks it. The light at the maximum did not turn off, I thought marriage, but then I guessed that this was the flashlight mode, the flashlight was drawn there. :) Bits fly out of the magnetic bit holder, although if you hold only one bit, it keeps perfectly. The light is perfectly tuned for drilling, but if you hold the screw with your fingers, you block it with your hand. Constantly touching the reverse switch during operation. The switch is pretty flimsy. Non-replaceable sides of the belt hook - when changing the sides of the hook and bit holder, it does not fit into the case. I had to dismantle the hook, since I personally do not need it, and the bit holder on the other hand is much more convenient. You can also cut the case a little, so I will do it if I need a hook.

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

For a relatively long time I chose a screwdriver to replace the old Bosch GSR12V, by the way, it still functions perfectly, with converted Cd-> Li batteries. But firstly, I wanted something lighter and more compact, and secondly, with more momentum. and thirdly, probably more technologically advanced (brushless), etc. ) I chose between Bosch GSR-180-2-Li and this Dewalt (perhaps the comparison is not correct, Bosch would be more logical to take for comparison, for example GSR 18 EC). Pros
  • 1. High moment. 2. Metal cartridge. 3. Build quality. 4. Backlight. 5. Relatively light and compact. 6. 3 years warranty.
Cons
  • 1. There is a backlash of the cartridge, on the old 2022. Bosch, surprisingly, is not there. Iโ€™m not yet ready to say how critical it is for my tasks, but at least itโ€™s not pleasant. According to the sensations, the deviation from the axis is about 1-1.5 mm. I can be wrong. I looked before buying in the store and I will say that the situation is similar. 2. The jaws of the cartridge, which is also surprising, do not close completely, which is certainly not encouraging. I haven't checked, but I think that the 1.5 drill will simply fall out. 3. The backlight is of course bright and perfectly illuminates the work area, however, the intention of the DeWalt designers regarding the time of its operation is not completely clear. It is also not clear what the purpose of the 3 modes is and why it would be simple not to make the "off" mode instead of one of them. 4. The cartridge, although metal, is tightened unevenly, it feels like it can really bite. By the way, this is being talked about on the Internet.) 5. Battery. Although the purpose of the dangling batteries is to unfasten (but this is not accurate :)) at the time of the fall, but really, to the point of indecency, they teleport strongly in the sled. Having worked with the instrument, you understand that it simply starts to unnerve. Not comfortable. 6. Under the guarantee, many write that 3 years is purely marketing, as such, this manufacturer does not have any service, did not check, I canโ€™t download anything for sure. I hope they lie or the tool is so reliable that you donโ€™t have to check it. 7. Everyone writes about a button with PWM and about an astronomical price (changes by node: engine + button + electronics unit), in case of a breakdown. I wonโ€™t say anything yet, and, in general, there is little information on the Internet about the 791st. But I will say this, buying a dewalt grinder a long time ago, similarly, many wrote about the button (precisely about its non-survivability) and its price. By myself, Iโ€™ll say that I still have it alive, after constantly getting wood (working with brushes on wood) and metal dust. So I understand, judging by the reviews and the number of replacements from the same reviews, the company earns by selling the button), a joke. I'm skeptical and hope it doesn't disappoint.

The backlash of the acc-ra in the drill is less than a millimeter. There is no beating of the cartridge. The reverse switch button is a little flimsy, I wonโ€™t hammer nails with it. Its pros: Powerful. Very neatly made. Good balance. Illumination at the right spot. Fits well in the hand, incl. and female (the wife sometimes likes to twist something) Cons below: Just a huge and stupid suitcase. Expensive.( Non-switchable backlight. If you often screw in small screws, then this screwdriver willโ€ฆ

Powerful, No: Power and Hand Tools

The power of this cordless drill is amazing. You can really feel the engine torque turning it easily in your hand as you pull the trigger. The task lighting is thoughtful and bright, just like everything else. The keyless chuck works smoothly, but more on that later. I would also say that it is well designed in terms of ergonomics and having two batteries from the start is excellent. Even a brushless drill will drain batteries quickly on a big project, much faster on a drill than a screwdriver.

  • Drills

Works like any Dewalt product.

This is a half replacement for the 18V DEWALT DCD760KL purchased in 2013. acceptable time. So the 760 was primarily intended for use in caravans to unscrew stabilizers. However, I also use it in conjunction with the 791 to have a drill in one and use the other for screwdriving. NOW back to the 792D2 review. Batteries last a lot longer between charges, and that's very noticeable. Another very noticeable element is the torque. The 792 definitely has more torque. Other nice things about the 792โ€ฆ

Compact, powerful and handy

I bought this drill with some reservations. I have a full closet of 18v Dewalt tools that are starting to run out of batteries and I thought I could start using these 20v batteries and the DCA1820 cordless adapter that Dewalt came out to fix the extend the life of my old tools. So I wasn't sure how long I would be using another cordless drill to supplement the many I already have. In terms of performance, this drill is not that different from my other drills. It feels faster when pushed hardโ€ฆ
