💪 DEWALT DCS491B: Powerful Swivel Shear for Precise Cutting Performance Review

I purchased this tool to build corrugated roof barns with metal siding. As someone said, these scissors only work well on straight cuts. If you try to cut ribbed panels, they don't work very well. Let's get back to the Makita cordless shears. I think I'll keep them just in case and add them to my collection of Dewalt 20V tools.

Love this tool. That paid off with my first job. There were 6 breaks of just over 20 feet each and the time I saved made the tool worth it. It's also much safer than using a steel blade in my circular saw, plus I could hear at the end of the day and didn't have a beard full of metal flakes. It is so safe I have allowed my 12 and 13 year old daughters to use it. Love it!

I bought these for metal roofing and siding. Super handy tool, low weight and lots of power. If you cut straight lines LONG and not on edge, they work great. Almost impossible to cut through the ribs typical of metal roofs. Also, when cutting metal for siding, you cannot make plunge cuts, e.g. B. a window in the middle of the plate. Maybe I was trying to use this tool for something it wasn't designed for. As mentioned above, it is ideal for cutting flat surfaces.
