Don't feed! for heat guns

Heats up FAST! unfortunately it doesn't advance the glue stick. I bought good quality Gorilla glue sticks and the tip didn't clog. It just doesn't reach for the glue stick to push it through. When you squeeze the wand with your hand, it sprays hot glue, so it's definitely a trigger and not a tip or heating element. Too bad because it heats up quickly. I will try again and buy again.

BEST glue gun I have ever used

BEST glue gun I have ever used. It heats up 4.5 times faster than my last glue gun. When making custom electronics/robotics wiring connectors, I always put a drop of hot glue between the housing and the wires to "relieve the stress on the wire" and prevent it from tearing. . The fast heat-up time allows me to work much faster as I only have to wait 40 seconds instead of 3 minutes! I wish it had an on/off switch!

  • Durable finish
Cons
  • I doubt it

There is a better choice

First I have two more hot glue guns. They are used under restricted production conditions (no continuous use). This one is just fine. It heats up well, but the extra thirty seconds that others take is very negligible. Glue release is excellent. But the trigger is BAD! It was too little! I have medium sized hands and this one was too small for me and with less surface area on the trigger it is much harder to pull. If I need another, I'll try another brand.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • boring packaging

Add a Heading: Soldering and Soldering Supplies

Most people associate a glue gun with something other than an arts and crafts class at a local elementary school. This glue gun looks powerful, expensive and professional which is why I bought it. However, I found that it is all of those things. I need to make custom packaging boxes on the fly. With good glue, you'd be quite surprised at how well the cardboard sticks together. Stop sealing all the flaps as customers complained about how difficult the box was to open.

Glue gun with very fast heating; bright; reliable

Reviewers who have complained that this gun does not feed glue should be aware that hot glue ingress into the rear feed mechanism prevents the roller in the rear tube from lifting and the to advance the glue stick. This happened on a refurbished gun I bought here on Amazon because the previous owner pulled the hot glue stick out of the back causing the melted glue to drip into the feed mechanism. It was easy enough for me to fix this by removing the melted glue. I bought this Dewalt glue gun to

Well designed, well made, works well - DeWalt

Great glue gun. Heats up quickly and flows smoothly. And it's very stable when you sit on it. Good quality of materials and workmanship, as you have come to expect from DeWalt. Do yourself a favor and get some quality glue sticks. I am currently using the Surebonder H-810R and the application is easy and the bond is strong. If you see a review complaining of uneven absorption, it's because of a cheap glue stick that has grease left over from production.

Chinese junk - does not work

Glue does not come out of the packaging on the first try. Eventually it gets hot and the glue stick is pushed forward with help from the outside, but the glue doesn't flow out. My guess is that the glue is melting and running all over the inside of the glue gun because it's not coming out of the nozzle. So he digests a whole stick of glue, while not a drop of glue comes out of the nozzle. Also, the glue stick feed mechanism is weak and slides on the glue stick. I used a high quality Gorilla…

I've used this from time to time and I liked its quick heating, less than a minute for example. I had some regular glue sticks on hand and found that the feed mechanism didn't catch them, they were too narrow. Some older, thicker sticks will eat normally. I've found that I can use a hot tip to melt golf ball pits into thin sticks, then serve and grab them. Some pain really. Then, after 10 months, I go glue something and the gun is cold as stone. Dead. yes i connected Out of curiosity, and I'm a
