Unnecessarily difficult to open

Excellent overall, just what I needed. Hard, weatherproof, but very difficult to open. The latch handle is too tight, you have to pry hard, and the slightly sharp handle hurts your fingers and opens unexpectedly. Very annoying indeed, painful and totally unnecessary to press so hard. I resorted to opening with a screwdriver. It was worth the star. 1.5 stars if I could.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Requires socket

Sooo hard to open good for extension cords

The box is as big as I wanted but sooo hard to remove the cord holder and no instructions! It turned out that you need to open two side locks, and then use a flat screwdriver or a knife to open the narrow cable holder. It's not intended for submarines underwater, so there's no need to make it that tight. I just need a shelter to protect myself from the rain again.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Update available

Does the job: Extension Cord

I've been using this all summer to secure the cord connection for my small pool pump. It's been hit by all sorts of torrential rains and inside is dry to the bone. I'm not sure how long the waterproof clip you use to clamp the cables will last. The clips on it are all plastic and you have to be really careful before closing the lid as the clip seems easy to slip off and get lost causing the lid not to close properly. Otherwise so far so good.

Does what it's made for exceptionally well

I understand this can be a little confusing for some people with no DIY experience. Nevertheless, he does his job well. I have a couple of wired security cameras, each with about 25 feet of unnecessary wiring for my particular setup. Whenever it rained heavily, one of the connectors on the three-way outdoor splitter would short out. I can put the extra cable plus all the electrical connections in the box. It's a lot neater and hopefully the box is waterproof enough to never have a short circuit

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Difficult to open Best in Electrical

The box protects the mains filter in my greenhouse from moisture. It gets the job done but is a little tricky to use. First, it's very difficult to remove the narrow strip that holds the cables in place and keeps moisture out. You need to pry off the very hard tabs on both sides at the same time. Finally I use something strong and thin to lift one side and use my fingers to lift the other. It's so hard that I try not to turn things like heating pads and lamps on and off. Second, it's not high…

  • Tools and Household Goods
Cons
  • Not sure

Serious design flaw - DO NOT TAKE THIS BOX

If the main task of this box is to be waterproof from the most common places where water can seep (above), then this box is completely out of order. Purchased on 06/23/2020. I left this outer box outside, unassembled, waiting to continue with my project. Finally after 2 months I finally got to my project only to be disappointed with the quality of this product. There is a gap at the top that allows water to fully penetrate the electrical wires. This is mistake #1. The second mistake occurred…

Pros
  • Cables, adapters and multiple sockets
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
