🧽 Dexas Sink Strainer Grippboard for Convenient Over-the-Sink Use Review

The chopping board and colander do the trick but the handle could be better in my opinion. When chopping or washing the board slips and if I push the board even a little bit it flexes a little and doesn't lay flat. A thicker board would have been nice. Eventually the screen will sit in the hole as it should, but it won't sit perfectly, so the two longer edges won't line up.

This colander is good for rinsing fruit and vegetables before and after cutting them on the board. I have to wash (and really wash) vegetables and fruit thoroughly because where I live there is no pesticide control at all, and this board makes that job easier without taking up extra table space. It's deep enough to cover a standard sized sink, but can be a lot wider than your sink, so check the dimensions! The only improvement I would like is that part of the filter is lifted to empty the…

This is a nice cutting board that fits over the sink and the built in colander is a nice feature I was looking for. However, I found it difficult to store as the screen is not attached to the board and pops out when the board is tilted. Even when the board is level, the sieve lifts off the board slightly if it is not weighed down. In addition, the sieve is placed so far away that it rests directly on the edge of the sink and can make it difficult to wash items thoroughly.

It is expensive as is the shipping. It wasn't packed well. Essentially wrapped in a cardboard box, not actually enclosed in a box, just cardboard on top. Part of the filter is not connected to the board but is an insert. This made it difficult to hang and this is my favorite way to store my cutting boards, so it's getting further and further away from a good purchase for me personally. This chopping board/colander is pretty cool. It is very convenient that you can cut fruits and vegetables and throw them directly into the strainer basket. It's great quality, like most Dexas products. The only thing that confuses me is that (1) it's too big. Doesn't fit in my dishwasher, not even at an angle. Must be hand washed.
