They work but… for power and electricity

They work but because of the cost you use your household socket instead. They are fragile and break easily. You'll have to make the hole a little bigger and use the 'old work', but it's worth the little extra effort.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Out of style

Matches perfectly with Flagstaff Classic

Exactly that. Perfect match. Features snap-in internals best suited for camper van stay and comes with cotton on the lid. Happy to find.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

This is exactly what I needed but a bit pricey

I don't know why this product should be so much more expensive than similar 'Stix 'n Brix' household products. I also had to strip the wires to get them into the pins. Besides, it was an easy replacement.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Empty

Perfect Match OEM - Van Parts & Accessories

Replaced a broken one in my RV, had to use a flathead screwdriver to push the wires down, not easy but worked, use an AC clamp to reattach the plastic. Make sure to route the cables in the right direction, otherwise the back plastic cover will not close. It's generally hard to do, but I managed to do it and it works great.

Difficult installation partly due to poor design

Product does what it is supposed to do BUT the installation was a real PITA as the wings holding the unit to the wall could not move fully. does not interfere when inserting the device into a wall cut-out. I had to cut an extra wall to allow the wings to come behind the wall. This made installation extremely inconvenient and time consuming.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • So far so good

Good design! Fits RV parts and accessories

Works great. It was a much better design than the original in my bumper trailer. A cable came loose and the outlet stopped working. Decided to change everything and bought. Simply push the wires in with a flathead screwdriver and use the C-clip to snap the back together until it closes. I used a Revain box between the C clamp and the socket to protect it. Back in business for the next trip.

  • Handy item

Works but flimsy plastic

This is the same socket my trailer came with. The original socket is broken. At the factory, one of the mounting screws was overtightened and the plastic broke. This is made of the same plastic. This works as long as you don't overtighten the two mounting screws. Twist until you feel the flip piece touch the back of the wall, then tighten just enough so it stops moving. I don't know why these things cost $13. Should be around $3 but anything trailer related is overpriced.

  • Good performance

Not in my van build

Sounds like a great idea but I would never put this in my van. Looks like a poor quality Chinese socket and could start a fire in my opinion. It features a built-in back box that allows for a very compact outlet installation. The outlet uses a connection with a plug-in insulator. All you have to do is remove the outer jacket from the Romex part and plug the wires into the connector on the back of the jack. I think it should be used with solid wire and is not designed for stranded wire which you

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
