Works wonders compared to the stock antenna

Bought this antenna after almost everyone recommended it, replaced the stock antenna on my Uniden BC125AT. No faint traces were left on the standard antenna. It's quite flexible and wobbles a lot when it's windy outside, but that's just a nitpick. There are no complaints about the performance. Definitely worth it.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good antenna help me

I bought this for TRX Whistle Scanner Radio 1. Antenna comes with radio which is good for UHF channels but that's pretty much what this antenna is but much longer so not as comfortable to wear radio on waist as antennas put it closer to shoulder, but I love this antenna, it makes my radio much more sensitive, I catch so many channels I don't even use the 10 that comes with it anymore, it's a must

A must have for your scanner to improve reception!

The RH77CA diamond antenna is essential for your scanner to greatly improve the reception of high frequency VHF transmissions such as: fire brigade/ambulance, public safety, rail transport, civil and military air! I use RH77CA Diamond antennas on both of my scanners to greatly improve high range transmission. You will discover many frequencies around you that you didn't even know existed! Of course I knew, I found a total of fourteen different Houston ARTCC frequencies in my area that I didn'tโ€ฆ

Doesn't block PSR-800 antenna connector

I've had this antenna for a little over a year now and use it primarily with a GRECOM (now Whistler) PSR-800 scanner as a replacement for the serial antenna. Although the antenna receives better than the standard antenna, it has one major disadvantage; That means the BNC connector doesn't have enough "notch" on the end for the antenna to attach to the antenna socket. The antenna detaches without even exerting any force on the connector. Other BNC connectors work better, so this may be a feature

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Will not fit all

A worthy upgrade from the stock BC125AT antenna

I use this antenna with the BC125AT to monitor local aviation bands. I haven't noticed an overwhelming difference between this and the standard antenna, but after some very unscientific testing, it appears to be an improvement. When listening indoors with a standard antenna, I have to place the scanner by a window to pick up a local airport that's only a few miles away. It allows me to listen from my desk about 6 feet from the window. Most people may not care, but it's handy for me. Sometimesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Also does not work for p25 simulcast systems

I have this for my Pro 668 digital scanner and am trying to track a Pro 25 simulcast system at a high frequency of 800MHz. It's better than the stock antenna but no better than the regular rubber ducky I had from my previous radio. It's very well made and will likely work well for traditional systems and setups without digital simulcast, so keep that in mind when ordering monitoring of a setup like mine. The simulcast here is very sensitive and you can move or rotate the radio a little andโ€ฆ

Antenna Diamond RH77CA

I received this antenna for my BCD996P2 scanner which is MUCH better than telescopic. With the OEM antenna I kinda heard the air traffic, the airport is about 10-15 miles from me so I thought I was ok before but with this Diamond RH77CA the scanner now shows me 3 to 4 lanes of almost everything on Time up can be one (1) bar. The same applies to the FM frequencies that I listen to. UHF and 800MHz digital band. I don't see much improvement above 2 bars for most, but I don't know where theโ€ฆ

It gave me more signals

I recently got a Bearcat BC75XLT scanner and after reading various reviews here and on rail fan sites I decided to add this one. Here in my apartment I immediately received more signals than with the original antenna during a superficial search. Although I haven't picked up any new stations at the stations I'm monitoring, I think the signal is much clearer than before replacing the standard antenna. The BNC connector made it easier to connect when replacing the original. My only issue is thatโ€ฆ
