A great choice for any child's room

I love the decor buckets because you can cut the pockets however you like. If your baby is having a particularly smelly day, you can make a small bag for some diapers to save as much plastic and prevent odors in the nursery. I love that they're biodegradable so it feels like I'm making the best choice for the environment. The gas stations have a marker saying when they run out, but they last about a month and a half with my seven month old.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Out of fashion

the smell of trash still seems to be absent unless one is standing.

There still doesn't seem to be a smell of trash in our bedroom unless you're inches from the diaper pail. Non-biodegradable materials hide odors even at close range, but I think whenever we can compromise for the environment and our long-term survival when the impact in terms of inconvenience is negligible, we do so. The biodegradable version's odor control is definitely effective for those who live more than 5 inches from the diaper pail.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Terrible smell - diaper

I bought regular Decor Plus pads and decided to try them as they are better for the environment. They go in no comparison with conventional liners. No matter what, even after I've sanitized the bucket, left it open to air, and emptied it daily, it still smells terribly foul when I put a diaper in the bucket or open it. My LO almost never poops, so most disposable diapers only contain urine, which shouldn't smell like rotten poo in a bucket. I'd rather use regular liners, which work great…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure
