I redid the light in the kitchen and I liked the idea with a ceramic base and a GU10 base. They overdid it with the LED bulbs I used, but they were easy to install, safe and I don't need to think twice.

There were big problems using LED bulbs in 12V MLV banks with a Dimmer. Bypassed the transformer and substituted the GU5.3 sockets for these. What an improvement. Smooth dimming and no more buzzing from light bulbs. If you qualify, I would definitely recommend doing the same.

First of all I give 3 stars for easy installation. I'm replacing an old screw head with these GU10 heads so I have to (sometimes) modify or fabricate the part, but I suspect I've switched to the same type. it would easily be 5 stars, but there is a conversion without much additional effort. They are more than affordable and have heat-resistant sockets. I just replaced my door lights with these and they actually work better than the old screw in bulbs, better light, longer range. I use GU10 LEDs
