More light, less heat for photography

I use a vintage optical viewer to select the images on film that I want to scan as PNG files. The original lamp was tungsten which generates a lot of heat after a while which can cause negatives to curl and affect focus on the scanner table. I decided to try this lamp because its color rating is in the same range as tungsten, which is an important consideration when viewing color slides. Good, but with an important nuance

At first these lamps remained dark, while the other E12 LED lamp and the old incandescent lamp installed in a socket worked perfectly. What I noticed on closer inspection is that these lamps (middle lamp in the photo) have electrode tips that do not protrude as far into the socket as the others when the lamp is installed (see yellow arrow). One lasted every 4 hours

Produces lots of light with very little power. I particularly like the "top" LEDs, which better mimic the light distribution of traditional incandescent bulbs. Unfortunately, the first of the two bulbs broke after 4 hours of operation and was switched off overnight. Now when the switch is turned on, a faint spark appears in the LED chips, indicating that the current is reaching the bulb, but then nothing happens.
