Cool lightbulbs.: Lightbulbs

I had a little trouble getting these guys to lick the lights under my closet. I don't know if it's the lights, or the bulbs, or both. It seems to me that they are all already licked and they work EXCELLENT. They run MUCH cooler than the original bulbs, which is exactly what I wanted. The old lightbulbs were hot as hell. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

The lights don't go out.

Yes I said that. The lights don't go out. They should be off, low, medium and bright. But instead of turning off, they have a very low. But it's still on, and when my desk is next to my bed and the light is on all night, it's a bit annoying. I thought only one bulb in the set was defective but no, I tried 3 more and they all did the same thing. Some nonsense, the light doesn't go out.

Flicker! It's terrible!

This is the third lightbulb I've tried replacing with halogen bulbs in our hood. I think I need to go back to halogen bulbs which I hate because they get so hot. The hood has 2 positions, low and high. This bulb was marked as dimmable so I figured it would work in this application. nope The lamp works well at low settings but flickers horribly at high settings. It's crazy. They can work with a normal dimmer switch, but not with a dimmer switch. i give them back
