I bought these bulbs to update my outdated living room chandelier without spending a lot of money and to add brightness to a dark room. These bulbs have been beautifully packaged in a beautiful clamshell box. There was a special styrofoam that held each bulb in place separately to prevent them from breaking. We used these lights in our bathroom with the new Lutron dimmer. (Note that Lutron is one of the largest, if not the largest, supplier of dimmer switches in the US).
