The actual color is lighter blue than the light mint blue in the pictures. The fabric is light terry, I wouldn't call it a sweatshirt. The applique has a different shape and does not have the charm of the cat in the photo. The appliqué is made of a completely different material and not some fluffy fleece like in the photo. The floral fabric accents on the application are different in color than in the picture. The charm of the shirt shown is almost completely lost in the actual clothing.

Our daughter is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and 2T was a perfect fit when she was 2 years old. She weighs 28 pounds - not much heavier - now that she is 2.5 years old, but we're taking a size up as she will outgrow that at 3 years old. Just to add a note here - as this is the *second* rainbow polka dot shirt I have ordered for my son after he has outgrown the first - these designs are suitable for ALL genders! Other families keep asking me where to find light-colored clothes for my son, since most of the clothes in the boys' departments are dark and soft in color. Very nice sweatshirt and excellent quality but about 2 sizes smaller. I'm sorry I had to return them and couldn't reorder as I ordered a size 6 which is my granddaughter's size but she needs a size 8 for a good fit. My other granddaughter (twins) is 7 years old and it would require a 9 since the largest size is 7/8. I've just decided to return them both. I was very disappointed.
