Worked great for remote mounting my RADAR

This cable was used to remote mount my RADAR in a car. It was cheaper than what Escort was offering. The wire worked great and was just long enough to discreetly thread the wire through the machine.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Much nicer to have direct power!

Bought to free up an electrical outlet, installed it by wrapping the positive wire around the radio fuse in my car's fuse box, the negative was wrapped around a screw that screwed into the frame and I was good to go. Why didn't I do this earlier?

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great product with bare wire ends already soldered on.

Great product with exposed wire ends already soldered and ready to use. I hooked up my whistler and it works like a charm. Turns on and off with my ignition, so no more DIY. By the way, this cable has a long length.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

A better design would have the fuse within a few inches of the .

This product works perfectly. The plug fits the CR series detectors, but the fuse sits too far back - it's at the end of the 10ft cable, and I only needed the 10ft cable. The mirror is already melted and the detector is drawing little current, so I cut the fuse and just used a 10" with a plug on it. A better design would place the fuse a few inches from the outlet.

Worked great. I installed a radar detector.

Works great. I mounted the radar detector above the rearview mirror and routed this wire from the detector up and under the front edge of the headliner on my Highlander to the A-pillar cover. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos where this was hooked up to a fuse panel with an extra fuse tap that I bought at the same time. I ran a wire to my dash fuse box and hooked it up to the cigarette lighter 15 amp circuit so it would NOT turn on when I turned the ignition off and drained the car battery.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Good but not great

Much better than dirty cables

This cable works great with my Whistler radar and is much better than dirty cables. I can't even see this wire from the driver's seat. And when I take it to my other car, the plug is right where I need it. No more running cables and fighting sagging. Plugging into a switched power supply is a little trickier than plugging into your cigarette lighter, but it's worth it as you never have to turn it off and you never forget to turn it on. You must know what you are doing (or know someone who does)

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
