Cables and Connections Bad Juju

Displayport looks good and connects easily. The picture quality is good and allows me to use my 3rd screening. However, when I try to play a movie on Revain Prime, I get an error saying I can't play the video because my cable isn't HDCP compliant. I have to unplug my main computer to play. Makes the whole thing kind of useless. :(

Incorrect compatibility information

I gave it one star because the specs are wrong. I AM SURE THAT THIS DEVICE WILL WORK WELL IF IT HAS THE RIGHT CONNECTION! I ordered it to connect my new Mac Mini to my old VGA monitor. The VGA part is fine, but despite clearly stating "Mac Book Air, Mac Book Pro, iMac and Mac mini with Thunderbolt ports since 2011 are supported", this is NOT the case. Is it a Thunderbolt 1 or 2 connection? My new Mac Mini has a Thunderbolt 3 connection. As you can see in this picture, the Mac connection is too…

Good for computers and accessories

I was asked at the last minute to give a PowerPoint presentation out of town. I asked about the projector's video input and basically said yes there is. A mini display port for HDMI and VGA should be a standard accessory for anyone with a Surface like me. As it turned out, I needed HDMI, which I bought for a previous performance, but I also tested VGA and it worked flawlessly.

This adapter works for me

I work from home from time to time. When my company upgraded my laptop, I was concerned that I would have to buy new monitors. However, a colleague suggested connecting the mini display port to a VGA adapter. He told me he ordered one online but it didn't work and he had to go to Best Buy and buy one specifically for Microsoft. I ordered BenFei because he said it was compatible with Microsoft and I hope it will work. It works and works like a dream. I appreciate this product and the ease of…

Something That Finally Works - Early 2011 Macbook Pro

I can't tell you how many adapters I've tried! My SSD was upgraded a few years ago so my early 2011 Macbook Pro runs like a new computer. Instead, I wanted to use a larger external monitor, so finding an adapter was a hassle. I kept buying Mini Displayport (Thunderbolt) for HDMI and they either worked for a few minutes and then shut down or none of them worked. I assume it has to be Mini Displayport to VGA for it to work?! It works perfectly and I am so thankful! I also use a widescreen Dell…

Perfect fit for my MacBook Air

I inherited a MacBook Air and wanted to use it to replace an aging desktop in my basement that I use for woodworking plans and watching videos there when I work. I was pleasantly surprised that this little $8 adapter not only converted Thunderbolt to VGA, but I was able to extend my desktop onto it and get a second monitor. I might not use this feature often as I originally planned to store my MacBook under my desk to protect it from sawdust and the like, but it's nice to know it's there. The…

Exceptional quality at a great price!

I bought this to connect a Dell 21" VGA monitor to my MacBook Pro (2013) to extend the screen so I can open more windows to switch between spreadsheets, databases and programs to navigate. Arrived quickly and in nice easy to open packaging. The adapter itself is well made, just plug it in and get started right away. A standard VGA connector slides in from the rear, screws down, and stays completely in place. The Lightning connector features a plastic plug to keep the connectors clean during…
